Testing

Cold Climate Applications

Complex Industries is committed to providing the best performing forged iron doors available in the market. To achieve this goal, ongoing testing is carried out to ensure the most up to date information is always available. Most Products tested to a rating of DP65 or better. To see specific test results:

Forged iron doors are designed for use in mild and/or moderate climates. If installing in a cold climate, please request a copy of our “Cold Climate” document prior to selecting a forged iron door. Door panels and frames are polyurethane foam filled to provide the best insulating properties available, but doors and frames are not thermally broken. This non-thermally broken design will allow some thermal transfer from outside to inside and/or vice versa. As such some accommodation may be required for installation in a cold climate.

COMPLEX INDUSTRIES FORGED IRON DOOR LIMITED WARRANTY

All Complex Industries iron doors are hand forged and individually finished in our factory. Minor differences in doors are normal and are to be expected to achieve the “Hand Made” look.

All Complex Industries iron doors are Electro-Coated after manufacturing to assure the best corrosion treatment in the industry.

All Complex Industries iron doors are then Powder Coated using TGIC polyester powder coating to provide further corrosion protection and giving our doors a far superior look and finish to any wet paint system products.

All Complex Industries iron doors are then hand finished in an “Old World” Bronze that offers the best and most beautiful entries in the industry.

All Complex Industries iron doors are warrantied to the original owner from any defects in material and workmanship that would make our doors not serviceable or not usable under normal conditions, provided they are properly installed per instructions provided by Complex Industries.

This warranty is provided to the original owner from the date of purchase extending for the following period:

1) 5 Year Limited Warranty on all door frames, doors, inserts, glass panels and transoms except for installations in coastal environments (1 year limited warranty for coastal environments).

2) 5 Year Limited Warranty against seal failure on insulated glass provided by Complex Industries.

3) 5 Year Limited Warranty on finish and any breakdown of the Electro-Coating and Powder-Coating including chipping, cracking and peeling except for installations in coastal environments (1 year limited warranty for coastal environments).

The following are not considered the responsibility of Complex Industries, Inc. and will void any warranties:

1) Damage caused by installing a forged iron door without adequate overhang protection. The door unit must be protected with an outward overhang at least one half of the height of the overhang (Example: If the height of overhang is 10 feet, projection of overhang must be a minimum of 5 feet).

2) Damage caused by failure to comply with the installation instructions provided by Complex Industries or by failure to promptly and adequately repair damages to the door unit, including chips or scratches to the finish.

3) Damage, misuse or abuse caused by other parties or causes beyond the control of Complex Industries including Acts of Nature.

4) Failures not covered include broken glass, improper storage, installation and maintenance, improper cleaning, condensation on interior door surfaces as a result of cold climate installation, and moisture penetration resulting from normal wear and tear including pets.

All warranty claims must be approved by an authorized representative of Complex Industries.

Complex Industries has final say in approving all warranty claims.
