INTRODUCTION

This report covers six(6) mineral claims consisting of a total of 74 claim units in Evelyn and Dundonald Townships 20 miles northeast of the City of Timmins Ontario.Arista Resources Inc is the property holder and recently

had the property examined by a helicopter-borne magnetic and VLF-EM survey conducted by Geonex Aerodat Inc in July 1994.

The author has subsequently reviewed all available assessment files stored at the Timmins Resident Geologist.studied the airborne results, discussed the area with various knowledgable geologists and examined the reports of successful exploration work conducted by Canamax on the geologically similar Clavos Deposit 10 miles to the east.

RESULTS

The airborne survey clearly delineates two ultramafic intrusives along the mafic volcanic/sediment (pipestone fault) zone.In addition both the airborne survey and ground geophysics(Max-min EM) delineate a conductor running along the south side of an intrusive.(grid 2,lines 6 E to 14 East, about l South. This will be CONDUCTOR "A".

Another VLF conductor runs at about 6 South on the same lines. This conductor lines up with diamond drill holes just outside the claim block which intersected graphitic sediments, sertcite schist and quartz veining.(CONDUCTOR "B")

A reverse circulation overburden drill hole on conductor "A" intersected altered sediments and "heavy quartz veining".The Nickel Offsets Gold Deposit in Tully Twp 10 miles to

the NW and the Clavos Gold Deposit in Stock Twp 10 miles to the SE are indicated to be closely related to the ultramafic intrusions and quartz-sulphide graphitic zones occurring in the same structural stratigraphic setting as the"Arista Resources Pipestone Property".

PROPERTY DESCRIPTION.LOCATION and ACCESS

The Pipestone Property covers 74 claim units as indicated on claim maps G-3940 and G-3240 consisting of claims numbered 1189685,1189686,1189687,1189854,1189855 &1190766.

The property holders Henry Hutteri,Ed Korba and Richard Sproule optioned the property to Arista Resources Inc.Access is gained from Timmins east on highway 101 to Hoyle

and north on highway 610 for 3 miles to Ice Chest Lake Road.Secondary logging roads provide access to the eastern portion

of the property.

The Property is found in Evelyn and Dundonald Twps, 20 miles northeast of the City of Timmins, within the Porcupine Mining Division of Ontario (NTS 42A/10).

PROPERTY GEOLOGY

The Arista Resources Pipestone Property is located in the northwest portion of the Abitibi Greenstone Belt 12 miles northeast of the gold mining camp of Timmins Ontario.

The property is overburden covered but it appears the claims are underlain by mafic volcanics to the north and sediments to the south. The Buskegau Fault (Pipestone Fault Extension) runs NW through the centre of the claim group and marks the Mafic volcanic/sedimentary contact.Ultramafic Intrusives occur along this structure.

10 miles to the SE the Clavos Gold Deposit is found within quartz-sulphide graphitic zones in the same stratigraphic setting.Reserves are 643,500 tons 00.22 oz/ton Au (calculated with a 0.10 oz/ton cut-off) or 1,160,000 tons @ 0.15 oz/ton Au.

10 miles to the NW the Nickel Offsets Gold Deposit is found in the same stratigraphic setting with reserves of 650,000 tons @ 0.23 oz/ton Au.

20 miles to the SW the Kinross properties host gols reserves as follows...Bell Creek 33,000 tons @ 0.27 oz/ton Au and Hoyle Pond 285,439 tons @ 0.44 oz/ton Au. (1993).

PREVIOUS WORK

1963-1971 Hollinger Mines Ltd carried out Nickel exploration in the area but no record of work on the 14 Arista Claims.

1964 Accra Exploration Ltd conducted Mag and VLF surveys on the south edge of the property. A 350 ft diamond drill hole 350 m south of the pipeston claims and lining up with Conductor "B" hit sheared pyrite and graphite in a wide serecite zone.No assays are available.

1983-1984 Cominco Ltd carried out an airborne input and magnetometer survey over most of Evelyn Twp.Numerous weak conductive zones were delineated.A systematic reverse circulation overburden drilling program was carried out with 5 holes being completed on the Pipestone Property.Heavy quartz veining was encountered in one hole in the vicinity of Conductor"A".

1985-1988 Kangeld Resources Ltd completed an airborne mag and VLF survey over a large area .covering the southern half of FrederickHouse Lake in Evelyn and Dundonald Twps. Six diamond drill holes and 38 reverse circulation drill holes were drilled to the south and east of the Arista Resources Pipestone property in Dundonald Twp.High gold and arsenic anomalies were encountered in the basal till.

1988 Noronto Resources carried out airborne and mag surveys on the west shore of Frederick House Lake covering a portion of the -subject claim group. No further work is reported.

1988.On the Allerston Property (present claim #1189685) MPH consulting conducted a magnetometer survey on NE trending lines gl00m spacing and 25m stations. The recommendations included that "emphasis should be directed at the area near the Buskegau Fault (Pipestone extension) and underying ultramafics for alteration zones and sulphide mineralization with which gold is associated".Drilling was recommended but not performed.

Feb 1994 Property Vendors Hutteri,Korba and Sproule cut and chained 3 separate grids and performed ground magnetometer and hrizontal loop EM surveys on the property.Ground EM conductors are defined.

CONCLUSIONS and RECOMMENDATIONS

The airborne survey has identified a couple of prospectiveareas where the mag high indicate an ultramafic intrusionin the vicinity of the projected extension of the PipestoneFault. As well flanking the one intrusion the airborne survey hasidentified a conductive zone which correlates with an EMconductor labelled Conductor "A" (Hutteri,Sproule,Korba '93)

Following a review of the available Canamax data at the assessment office relating to the "CIavos Gold Deposit" 7 miles to the East one can see the Pipestone Property sits in a similar geological setting.

Reverse Circulation Drilling in the vicinity of conductor"A" encountered massive quartz veining.Diamond drilling off the property on the extension ofconductor"B" encountered graphite.sulphides and quartzveining.

It is therefore recoomended that several lines of "Deep-EM" be run over the target areas on conductors "A" and "B" with the target being the Graphitic l sulphide zone similar to the CLavos Gold Deposit. Diamond drilling of these untested targets should then follow.

INTRODUCTION

This report describes an airborne geophysical survey carried out on behalf of

Arista Resources Inc. by Geonex Aerodat Inc. Equipment operated included a

high sensitivity cesium vapour magnetometer, a video tracking camera, an

altimeter and an electronic positioning system. Magnetic and altimeter data were

recorded both in digital form and analogs were created post-flight. Global

positioning data were stored in digital form and encoded on VMS format video

tape.

The area and flight lines were flown at a nominal spacing of 100 m. Coverage and

quality were considered to be within the specifications described in the contract.

The survey covered six separate blocks located in Casey, Auld and Bryce with a

total of 1450 line km flown.

3. AIRCRAFT AND EQUIPMENT

3.1 Magnetometer

Scintrex optically pumped/monitored, cesium vapour, high sensitivity H-8

magnetometer mounted in a Canagrad towed stabilized magnetometer bird

designed for single engine operations. A Picodas magnetometer processor

operated at a sample rate of 5 samples per second with a 2 Hz bandwidth was

employed. The magnetometer sensitivity is 0.001 nT.

3.2 Digital Recorder

A PDAS 1100 data acquisition system was used to collect the geophysical and

ancillary equipment outputs and display the data on an on-board screen. Digital

output is recorded on a cartridge cassette tape with full read after write checking.

The magnetometer and VLF channels are scanned at 0.2 second rate. In addition,

altimeter, satellite information and coordinates, camera, manual fiducials and time,

will be digitally recorded at appropriate times. The resolution of the VLF data is

1 percent and the altimeter data is 0.5 m. The magnetic readings are measured

to a 0.001 gamma resolution.

3.3 Analog Recorder

Analog records were generated post-flight. The recorder can automatically label

the channels, times and representative values for maximum record clarity.

Page 24: COMPILATION RPT PIPESTONE GOLD PROJ€¦ · 42a10nw0034 z16016 evelyn 010 2.1601 6 compilation report pipestone gold project for arista resources inc evelyn 6 dundonald townships

3.4 Video Camera

Aerodat operated a VMS video camera to record the aircraft's overland flight path.

The time as recorded on the digital record was displayed on the video image for

precise correlation of video image with geophysical response.

3.5 Global Positioning System

GPS receiver, model MX4200D by Magnavox Electronic Systems Company, with

antenna mounted at top of vertical stabilizer. Identical model of GPS base station

for post flight differential correction of flight path.

3.6 Altimeter

A King KRA-10 radar altimeter was used to record terrain clearance of the aircraft.

The response of the instrument is linear and the digital resolution is better than

2.507o with a departure of 3 m at 100 m altitude discernable. The output of the

instruments were recorded in digital form.

3.7 Aircraft

An Aerospatiale AS 350 B1 A-Star helicopter (C-GNIX), owned and operated by

Questral Helicopters was used for the survey. Installation of the geophysical and

ancillary equipment was carried out by Geonex Aerodat Inc. The survey aircraft

was flown at a mean terrain clearance of 60 metres.

Page 25: COMPILATION RPT PIPESTONE GOLD PROJ€¦ · 42a10nw0034 z16016 evelyn 010 2.1601 6 compilation report pipestone gold project for arista resources inc evelyn 6 dundonald townships

3.8 Magnetic Diurnal Monitor

Magnetic base station with an Overhauser sensor, model GSM-9 by Gem

Systems, with an accuracy of 0.1 nanoTeslas. Data logging will be made at one

second intervals by computer. The time stamp for the magnetic base station is

taken directly from the GPS ground receiver to ensure that it correlates with the

airborne equipment.

3.9 VLF-EM

Herz Totem 2A measuring the total field and the quadrature components from two

stations with full scale sensitivity of plus/minus 257o. The VLF antenna was

mounted on a boom projecting well forward of the leading edge of the aircraft and

positioned so as to be unaffected by the conductivity of the aircraft.

GENERAL INTERPRETIVE CONSIDERATIONS

Magnetics

A digital base station magnetometer was used to detect fluctuations in the magnetic field

during flight times. The airborne magnetic data was levelled by removing these diurnal

changes. The Total Field Magnetic map shows the levelled magnetic contours,

uncorrected for regional variation.

The Calculated Vertical Gradient map shows contours of the magnetic gradient as

calculated from the total field magnetic data. The zero conductor shows changes in the

magnetic lithologies and will coincide closely with geologic contacts assuming a steeply

dipping interface. Thus this data may be used as a pseudo-geologic map.
