This screen grab shows a Video from the Cyber-safety website. The website contains a video that is a short narrative that last just under 20 minutes. Here we can see how they are trying to appeal to their target audience of teenagers by using actors that are teenagers and setting it in a familiar location of a classroom so that the audience can relate to this with self perception as they are often in school can relate to the similar setting.

These two screen grabs show the website which the girl uses to upload the cyber bullying pictures on to which is blogger.com. This website is widely used by high schools so many people will be familiar with it and understand that if you put a picture up on it many people in the school will see it. Therefore the storyline of this video campaign is very likely and is more understandable for their audience. The storyline also can help to target the audience as it involves love and relationships between boys and girls which is a very common at this age of a teenager. Also it shows the effect that it can have on people mentally and physically from just posting a photo of somebody online and teaches a lesson of the consequences.

On the website we can see that they have a bar at the top of the screen which allows users to select their category and find out more about cyber bullying. This is good as they have a wide range of target audience making their product bigger.

The website provides an enormous amount of information for their audience in to the subject of cyber bullying and provides lots of relevant information to help their target audience. The language used is also very clever as it uses first person such as “How do I deal with”, it makes it personal for the audience and targets them directly as it makes them feel as if it is them thinking the thoughts.

The colours used for the webpage are important as they appeal to the audience. For example the teen page uses bold colours such as Blue, Black and Orange compared to the bright colours for the Young kids page which uses an light blue, green, red and orange to appeal to the age of the audiences mind and to attract attention to their product. Also the general look reflects the audiences age as the teens is a lot more formal looking compared to the childish looking kids page with an animated rabbit which is more informal.

This website is not so successful. The webpage has limited colours, no images and looks very basic because of this. This will not attract the audience as it is not appealing. Also the way in which they promote internet safety is not done very well, due to their being no entertainment such as a video like we see in the other campaign; the only way in which they give out the message is through written text which at the age of a teen or kid is not very appealing.

Plain colours throughout site

No images or Fancy text. Visually unappealing
