BIS Infotech magazine, its website (bisinfotech.com), and its email newsletter (BIS Infotech Newsletter) are the leading sources for news, research, products, and services relevant to the Electronics & Semiconductor sector and user community.

Less than 5 percent of the material that appears in BIS Infotech magazine is freelance-written, and we typically only work with experienced journalists familiar with our market or expert contributors. BIS Infotech magazine does not generally pay for articles by outside contributors.

Who Reads Our Magazine?BIS Infotech magazine is distributed to approximately 250,000 readers, including corporate decision-makers looking for the latest in cost-saving and efficiency-increasing technologies, researchers and engineers keeping abreast of the latest developments and trends, designers, and systems integrators. Their interests—in improving their performance, in learning and benefiting from the thinking and experience of experts—shape what BIS Infotech magazine editors look for when reviewing submissions. Proposals for articles that demonstrate unbiased, vendor- and product-neutral, and complete reporting, fresh and useful ideas, clear expression, and unambiguous authority and expertise are most likely to meet our readers' needs.

How To Pitch BIS Infotech Magazine?Writers wishing to submit an article for consideration to BIS Infotech magazine are encouraged to submit an abstract detailing the story topic and focus, what the reader should learn after reading the story, the writer’s academic, professional, and personal experience as it relates to the topic, and what kind of research has been done to support the story. Complete story submissions will also be considered.

BIS Infotech Media Also Accepts Pitches From Vendors For The Following Content Types:

Case Studies - Each issue of BIS Infotech includes an industry case study. If you have a client with an interesting story to tell, we want to hear from you. We prefer case studies that align with the "Market Focus" in each issue--which can be found on our editorial calendar--but will consider all pitches.

Technology Focus - Expertise is everywhere! That is why we have created a new opportunity for thought-leaders in the digital content industry who are eager to share their knowledge. Our “Technology Focus " section is designed specifically for industry experts who want to share vendor-neutral, thought-leadership pieces with the

BIS Infotech web and print audience. Like any other editorial content, the Technology Focus must be pitched to our editor, and accepted based on their merit. They will also be held to our high editorial standards--and will be edited upon acceptance. Links to your company site will be put in your author bio (not in the article). Any superfluous or promotional links will be removed (this also applies to client links).Ideally, the Industry Voices will be at least 1,000 words, and should always aim to inform our audience, and enhance the discussion around the business of BIS Infotech--not promote your company.

Features - Each issue of BIS Infotech includes several features. If you see a feature on our editorial calendar that you think you could provide insight on, please reach out to Theresa Cramer. We will pass your information along to the writer for consideration.

BIS Infotech Media reserves the right to edit, rewrite, or reuse submissions in any of our print or online media outlets.

News/Press Releases - Do you have news to share with the industry? Send your press releases to [email protected] to be included in Bisinfotech.com's Just In and weekly newsletter.

Submission RequirementsText: The editorial staff at BIS Infotech magazine works with the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Microsoft Word for document production. Submissions may be made using other programs, however, please consult with the editorial staff before sending documents in another format.

Photographs, Charts, And Graphs: All artwork, including photographs, charts, and graphs, should be submitted in Photoshop EPS, TIF or JPEG formats. Resolution should be at least 300 dpi, in color, and should not be imbedded in the document, but attached as a separate file. Lower resolution artwork is not suitable for high-quality magazine print purposes.

Editing And ExclusivityAll articles accepted for publication are subject to copy editing for clarity and conformity with BIS Infotech magazine’s in-house style and guidelines. Feature materials should be non-commercial in nature, and must be exclusive to BIS Infotech magazine in that they may not be published in another publication or venue without permission from the editors of BIS Infotech magazine.

The author will be required to sign an exclusive copyright agreement with BIS Infotech magazine, granting BIS Infotech magazine the sole copyright to the submission.
