ADJECTIVE “ER”
The suffix er is often added to adjectives to compare two things.
Examples: My feet are large.Your feet are larger than my feet.

When a one-syllable adjective ends in a single consonant and the vowel is short, double the final consonant before adding er. When a word ends in two or more consonants, adder.
