Company Secretary (CS)

The company secretary course is divided into three programs:

1) Foundation | 2) Executive | 3) Professional

Eligibility :

• 12th pass with any discipline

• Foundation Pass or Graduation with any discipline for executive course

Test Mode :

•Online for Foundation only

•Offline for Executive & Professional

Course Medium :

English & Hindi both

Some of the features of the Course are:

(i)Student need to register for the course by filling a simple application from costing Rs. 50/-.

The registration fee for the same is Rs. 4,500/-

(ii) Exam will be held twice in a year (June, December). Cut off dates for getting registrations

are as follows: For December Exams (31st March) & For June Exams (previous year's 30

September)

CS FOUNDATION PROGRAM(The Gateway to the course of Company Secretary)

A Student is eligible to register for the same after passing class X & can appear for the test after passing/appearing class XII.

CS FOUNDATION PROGRAM (PAPER PATTERN)

All papers will be of objective type.

Course will be comprises of four subjects viz

• Business Environment and Entrepreneurship

• Business Management, Ethics and Communication

• Business Economics

• Fundamentals of Accounting and Auditing.

At least 50% marks aggregate are required to pass the exams and 40% in individual subject.

There is no Negative Marking in this.

CS FOUNDATION PROGRAM (PAPER PATTERN)

After passing foundation exams or completing the graduation, a student can register with the

institute for executive program. A students is then registered with the institute and he is

required to complete the executive & professional program.

Course fee is :

•Rs. 8,500/- for CS Foundation passed out student.

•Rs. 9,000/- for commerce graduate student, and

•Rs. 10,000/- for Non-commerce graduate student

CS EXECUTIVE PROGRAM

This course is consist of 2 Groups having 4 & 3 Papers in Group 1 & 2 respectively each of 100 marks

having the following subjects viz:

Module I (4papers) 1. Company Law 2. Cost and Management Accounting3. Economic and Commercial Laws 4. Tax Laws and Practice

Module II (3 papers) 1. Company Accounts and Auditing Practices2. Capital Markets and Securities Laws3. Industrial, Labour and General Laws

For June Attempt: Previous Year's 31st August (for both group), 30th November (for one group)

For December Attempt: 28th February (for both group), 31st May (for one group) Minimum 50%

aggregate of marks are required to pass the exam and individual 40% marks in each subject.

A candidate will be eligible for appearing into executive program only after completing 70 hrs. of

compulsory training conducted by institutions approved by ICSI in respective cities.

A student is admitted to professional program on passing the executive program and only

after completion of 15 months from passing executive program and have to appear for the

examination consist of 3 modules of 3 papers each of 100 marks each.

Fee for course is Rs. 7,500/-.

PRACTICAL TRAINING Every registered student has to undergo a practical training as

per ICSI norms.
