CORPORATE OVERIEW

PT. Sabang Merauke Raya Air Charter was initially established in 1969 under the

name of MAC (Malaysian Air Charter), a joint venture company between Malaysian

and Indonesia partnership.

In 1972, the Indonesian partner purchased all the shares owned by the Malaysian

and changed the company’s name into PT. Sabang Merauke Raya Air Charter (known

as PT. SMAC) and grew from a PA23 Aztec, a five-seater aircraft, to several larger

turbo prop aircraft.

Today…SMAC is a veteran player in the aviation industry having served the

Indonesian archipelago for the past three decades. Together with one single majority

shareholders , SMAC plans to grow its business strategically and expand its

operations organically. A brief description of owner is given below:

MERUKH ENTERPRISES

Merukh Enterprises, owned by Indonesian tycoon Jusuf Merukh, via

PT. Lebong Tandai, today reveals that it has acquired 100% stakes

at some mining companies in Indonesia and Malaysia owned by

Services, 80% stakes in PT. Avocet Bolaang Mongondow, and 75%

stakes in PT. Gorontalo Sejahtera Mining.

Merukh Enterprises is a diversified mining companies controlled by

PT. Newmont Nusa Tenggara via PT. Pukuafu Indah. Pukuafu also

holds 20% stakes in PT. Newmont Minahasa Raya.

PT. Lebong Tandai, subsidiary of Merukh Enterprises, operates gold

mine in Lebong, Tandai, Bengkulu, Sumatera and has acquired some

Avocet Mining worth US 250 million. $

Jusuf Merukh. It owns 20% stakes in gold mining company

mining companies from Avocet.

PT. Merukh Lembata Copper owns copper and gold mining

in Lembata, Nusa Tenggara Timur.

SCOPE OF BUSINESS

In the early days of its operation, the company only offered pioneer and charter

flight services to major domestic as well as

international oil companies.

However, due to the increasing demand for other

flight services, PT. Sabang Merauke Raya Air

Charter (SMAC) expanded its operations to offer

more flight services such as:

SMAC operates scheduled flight services like any other airline to transport

passengers to various destinations throughout the Sulawesi and Kalimantan

as follows:

E. Air Cargo & Logistics

With the Indonesian Government actively promoting local industrial output of

non-oil products and gas exports, the demand growth for air cargo

transportation spurred SMAC to establish air cargo services in 1994. In

partnership with Batam Logistics, we currently op erate non-subsidized

routes between:

• Batam – Singapore (current)

• Bintang – Singapore (current)

• Wamena (future)

• Jayapura (future)

Our clientele for Batam and Bintang – Singapore includes:

• FEDEX

• FIN CARGO

• NIPPON EXPRESS

F. Helicopter Division/Services

A joint venture with the Asia Pacific Helicopters Group.

The Asia Pacific Helicopters Group has a background of more than 400.000

flying hours in rig; helicopter seismic; geological exploration; aerial survey

and photography; power line construction; inspection and maintenance;

agricultural spraying; timber harvesting; forest fire prevention and control

pipeline construction; government agency support; search and rescue;

tourism and general charter.

The majority of operations have been carried out in very remote areas under

extremely harsh climatic and topographical conditions.

MANPOWER

SMAC is equipped with team strength of 80 personnel comprising pilots, engineers,

administration staff and ground operation personnel with a standards qualification.

List of personnel:

• Seventeen (17) Pilot CPL and ATPL multi rating with thousands hour experiences.

• Twenty-one (21) licensed Engineers, Special Authorization Mechanics and

Technicians.

• Fourty-two (42) Ground and Administration personnel.

MAINTENANCE

Aircraft maintenance is carried out periodically in SMAC’s own hangar in Medan,

supported by facilities such as: Avionic Shop, Fabrication Shop, Store, etc.

Maintenance procedures are accomplished according to FAA Regulation and DGAC

Regulation of up to 1000 hours Inspection for Piston Engine Aircraft and 3000 hours

Inspection for Turbo Prop Engine Aircraft.
