Dear Sir, Almar Drink & Food is an Italian based Company operating globally and dedicated to the production of high quality powder preparations especially for the Ho.Re.Ca market. Almar was started over 45 years ago like a small shop near Milan (Italy) with the aim to produce the best Italian Hot Chocolate preparation for coffee shop. Later with the introduction of a new R&D team and the creation and developing of new products Almar has expanded its range of Italian product to satisfy the new customer needs and to export the “Gusto Italiano” all over the world. Today Almar is became a manufactory company operating globally specialized in the production and distribution of high quality Italian powder preparation not only for Ho.Re.Ca. markets but also for consumer market. Due to the high flexibility of its factory, Almar is able to produce also for private label and tailor-made products. Our product line include:

THE COMPANY Almar Drink and Food was born in 1968, in a small traditional shop near Milan (Italy). We are going through an economic boom, lifestyles are changing rapidly as the world changes, and Italian consumption, too, is different from before. The idea immediately seems as brilliant as it does ambitious: to produce the best café hot chocolate, using only one hundred percent natural ingredients. Almar knew that in order to achieve this grand dream, it would have to guarantee very high standards of quality. After all, Italians have always been very demanding when it comes to food and drink. In almost half a century, Almar has considerably expanded its product range, winning people over with cremini, slush creams, granitas, ice creams, yogurts, sorbets, hot and cold teas, herbal teas, ginseng coffee, milkshakes and aperitifs. However, the company still keeps the promise made to Italians over forty years earlier: to always use outstanding raw materials, come what may. In this third millennium, having also conquered international markets (with a presence in more than twenty countries worldwide), with the "made in Italy" quality hallmark, Almar Drink and Food is updating itself under the banner of tradition. Almar’s constant research and development efforts ensure continuous product innovation, which enables the company to support Distributor in defining the more suitable products to better fit the tastes of consumers of each country. Quality guarantee
In order to get the best and refined products, of taste and organoleptic characteristics steady over the time, we decided to use raw materials of high level, carefully selected by Almar specialists. Natural elements, such as the prized cocoa Dutch 22/24, used for the preparation of hot Chocolate, the 'Ginseng extract, derived directly from the crops used for the preparation of Korean ginseng coffee or fruit present in our unforgettable Italian fruit lyophilized preparations for Sorbets and Granita. Almar production processes of manufacturing, packaging and storage are carried out under the close supervision of our Quality Control Staff which control the protocol application on 100% of lots produced. The entire production process is conformed to the strictest Italian and European regulations (HACCP system - Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point-regulated by the European Directive 43/93/CEE - replaced in 2006 by Decree 155/97- EC Regulation 852/2004); such Almar control system also ensures perfect and complete traceability of all components. Quality of the Almar products is ensured by:
o Skilled and professionals technicians which thought-out and define the products o Qualified workers continually trained in quality production o Quality controlled and certified raw material and ingredients o Strict in process quality control
Ingredients and Raw Materials
Almar use only high quality ingredients and raw materials for the production of its products. All the selected suppliers are certified and all the ingredients are duly tested and controlled. To get the best quality for our products we use only natural ingredients and freeze dried fruit; we don’t use preservatives, artificial colors or hydrogenated fats.
Hydrogenated fat free: no hydrogenated fat are used for the production of our products Gluten Free: all our products, except for barley, are Gluten Free GMO free: In accordance with European legislation 1829 and 1830 dated 22/09/03, the product have not been produced by any genetic modification and no genetically modified organisms have been added to it.

All products are periodically tested in external qualified laboratory to ensure the respect of the high standard specifications. Certification

Packaging
The aluminium heat sealed bags (PET/AL/PE) are designed to guarantee the maximum protection of the product inside from any contamination, humidity and light for long time.
The special flexible film used for the production of the bags has passed the most hard tests performed in different qualified laboratory.
The material we use comply with the following standards and requirements:
- Regulation 1935/04, CE 10/2011, 1282/2011 and CE 1183/2012 on materials and products in contact with food
- Regulation CE 2023/2006 manufacturing of good coming in contact with food - Regulation Food and Drug Administration (FDA) concerning materials coming in
contact with food; - Regulation 94/62/CE concerning packaging and packaging waste - UNI EN 13428:2005 concerning requirements for manufacturing and
composition of packaging - Art 9 of Directive 94/62/EC and Annex F of D.L. 22/1997 - U.S. CONEG Regulation

Thanks to the high flexibility of our plants and organization we have the possibility to produce reasonable quantity of tailor-made products for different Companies without any extra-charge.
To produce multi-portion bags of customized products or packaging a minimum quantity of 600 Kg of products is required.

INSTRUCTIONS: a. Mono portion bag: Pour the content of one bags in a pot with 120 ml of semi skimmed milk. Cook the mix till it boils using, then the product is ready to be served. To cook the hot chocolate you can use also the microwave or the coffee machines steamer.
b. For chocolate machine: Pour 300g of chocolate powder in a pot with 1 litre of semi skimmed milk. Put the mix into the chocolate machine bowl and cook for 45 min at 90°C; then adjust the thermostat at 65°C for maintenance.
c. Large bag: Pour 30 g of chocolate powder with 120 ml of semi skimmed milk. Cook the mix using the coffee machines steamer or the microwave.
Take away Italian Hot Chocolate: To prepare a hot chocolate drink less thick to drink in takeaway cups with straw is enough to increase by 50% the amount of milk. (Mix 300 grams of chocolate powder with 1.5 liters of milk)
