OUR HISTORY
Altana was founded in 1982 following a dream of
Marina Salamon who decided to enhance the
business in Childrenswear.
Altana is now the italian largest producer of luxury
clothing for children and the european second
largest.
150 employees manage the whole production
chain from designing to distribution.
Our licensed brands are: MOSCHINO BABY KID
TEEN, PINKO UP, DONDUP, BARK, MANILA
GRACE, JECKERSON, MOON BOOT .
BREST is our own new outerwear project.
GUCCI distributes two baby and junior collections
produced by Altana, 100% Made in Italy.
HERNO distributes two baby and junior collections
produced by Altana.
Marina Salamon has been partner and shareholder
of Replay company from 1985 until 2001.

OTHER COLLABORATIONS
After Fall/Winter 2013 and 13 years of cooperation, Moncler
Maison decided to manage directly the kid’s business, due to
Initial Public Offering (IPO). Thanks to this long-lasting
partnership Altana has achieved a great experience and know-
how in luxury down jackets’ design and production.

OUR NUMBERS
A strong financial position, continual investments
in research and production and a high level of
customer care service are the main keys that
make Altana a solid company opened to the future.
Turnover in 2013 was € 86 mil (60% domestic,
40% foreign markets).
This success is due to our business development
strategies, to our creative and professional
decisions and to the prestigious brands which
Altana is associated with. Today you can find our
products in the best childrenswear stores in Italy,
Europe and Africa, Middle East, Far East, CSI, US.
Our company organization structure provides high
possibilities for women in management and high-
responsibility roles. Our main investments have
focused in research and training to pull for in-
house development.

WHAT MAKES US SUCCESSFUL
First and foremost, Altana is a team. We are a
group of 150 close-knit professionals, mostly are
women – 86% of the staff – and the average age is
under 38 years old.
The dynamic atmosphere in Altana and lots of
enthusiasm, creativity and sensitivity together with
a strong sense of membership connects the whole
organization.
