The single-crystal lithium niobate thin films will be of great interest fordeveloping high-speed, wide-bandwidth, high-density and high-efficiencyphotonic circuits and electronic devices. This material can be called LNOI(Lithium Niobate On Insulator). Our products are mainly used in the followingfields:

1. Integrated optics, such as photonic wires[1], optical filters[2], electro-opticallytunable microring resonators[3], and optical detectors[4]. The size of thedevices made on our products could be reduced more than one milliontimes, the integrated level would be greatly enhanced, the consumption ofthe power would be lower, the performance would be more stable,meanwhile, the cost would be reduced greatly.

2. High-density data storage[5]. the capacity of a piece of lithium tantalate thinfilm can reach to 70 Tbit, the equivalent of 100,000 CD.

3. Electronic devices and components. surface acoustic wave devices[6],pyroelectric detectors[7], Terahertz wave generation and propagation[8] andetc.
