The Product…. Rapid

The Rapid system is networked together using CAT5 or CAT6 UTP Cable connected via an RJ45 interface, or via suitable power and Beldon Type 8471/9740 comms cable. A “T” style connector is used for termination.

Programming for the system is achieved by the use of an infra red manual hand

controller used locally to the system components by line of sight, and/or via a head

end PC sending commands across the control network.

The Lighting Control System is sufficiently flexible to allow an installation to be

commissioned in stages without the need to revisit previous works at each stage

when networking all stages together. It is not be necessary to remove any outer

covers to access parts such as DIL switches to carry out commissioning when

installed on site. The head end PC if required is configured run the “Enerbus”

programming software under Microsoft Windows XP.

It is possible for the system to be easily reprogrammed at any time to comply with

changes made to the floor layout, or use, by means of the infra red manual hand

controller and/or via the head end PC over the control network.

The Lighting Control Modules have 10 fully addressable and configurable outputs.

Each output is capable of taking different control commands from an Interface, Switch

Interface and Presence Detector, and directly from the Head End PC if required.

All Interfaces, presence detectors/daylight-link sensors are intelligent and are directly

connected to the system network, and use the network as the means to transmit any

control commands to other system components.

Technical Support….

We will ensure that you get the very best support from our experienced engineers. There will always be one of our highly trained engineers available to assist you in the unlikely event of a problem. We do not charge extra for technical support, however at the time of purchase options are available to purchase head-end systems with remote control and maintenance contracts for ultimate security once the defects period has expired.

If you purchase a head-end system for your control network then we will have the

facility to control this PC remotely directly from our head office, which has several

advantages:

• We do not need to send an engineer to site in order to address the majority of

problems, but instead we can simply connect to your control network and start to

fault find and/or undertake repairs. This means that whether you are in the next

town or in another country we will be able to offer assistance within minutes.

• We can monitor your system periodically and make sure that everything is

functioning as it should be.

• If you would like any changes made to the system once the installation has

been signed off then we can do so via remote connection, increasing both the

response time and cost of such an operation.

• Users can be trained (fixed fee service) to use the head-end software to perform

basic fault finding reducing time and costs involved with such an issue.
