The American Red Cross is a humanitarian organization led by volunteers, guided by its Congressional Charter and Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross Movement that helps provide to victims of of disasters, and helps people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies. I helped to input names, addresses and phone numbers of people around Valdosta, Georgia that helped donate money to the American Red Cross. I also helped send out thank you letters to all the people that helped contribute something towards the American Red Cross! Being able to have the opportunity to help out with the American Red Cross has been such an interesting and helpful experience for me because it taught me how much people really do go out of their way to help others.
