JULY 2017 #DISCOVERNORTHSHORE

Northshore’s commercial past will breathe life into its future as recycled wharf timbers from the demolition of several old wharves from the area will be repurposed for use in Northshore’s redevelopment.

The reclaimed timbers will be used in a variety of settings including The Deck, an architecturally designed community building. The Northshore community Men’s Shed will recycle the wharf timbers in upcoming projects, creating mementos of the area’s industrial history.

Developers have also been invited to purchase the salvaged timber bearers and use them throughout the development, creating an exciting opportunity to connect the burgeoning community with its historical setting.

Economic Development Queensland’s plans to include the recycled timber in the project’s master landscaping plan as public art works

The Deckopening soon.Northshore’s brand new community space, The Deck, will officially open in August. The architecturally designed pavilion-style structure is a space designed in such a way that visitors to the area can enter and take respite in the shade, as well as relax and learn more about the precinct via a touch screen and free WiFi.

The Deck is constructed from historic recycled wharf timber, providing a tangible link to Northshore’s history.

The Deck is beside the new Eat Street Northshore location, and next to The Lawn, the recently opened pop-up park. If you haven’t ventured down MacArthur Avenue recently to have a look at Northshore’s new community spaces, make sure you do!

JULY 2017 #DISCOVERNORTHSHORE

Works are well underway to expand and improve local infrastructure at Northshore.

The Northshore community will soon enjoy an upgraded with Economic Development Queensland (EDQ) purchasing the service station site adjacent to the park to allow for expansion, and inviting locals to have their say on the new design.

The recently released design, which is available for comment, includes a $10 million transformation with a sprawling lawn and impressive fig garden, a picnic area, a dog park and water play facilities.

Plans for the park also include a village green in the centre of the park, large enough for cricket or football games and with facilities for open air, amphitheatre style entertainment.

The proposed park will also feature extensive greenery, mirroring the tree studded boulevards planned to border it.

Hamilton Recreation Reserve will be increased in size and upgraded to include:

Have your say on the Park transformation.

Work is well underway on the $24 million upgrade to Remora Road, MacArthur Avenue, Hercules Street and Harbour Road, which is set to transform the industrial access roads into roads suitable for the residents and visitors of Northshore, complete with lush, green streetscapes and pedestrian and bicycle paths.

This transformation will involve the creation of additional traffic lanes with a landscaped median, dedicated cycle tracks, bus stops and new footpaths.

As part of the transformation of the road infrastructure around Northshore, extensive landscaping will also turn these roads into tree lined boulevards.

To ensure the safety of residents and visitors alike, two intersections on Macarthur Avenue will be signalised.

For more information on the changes to Northshore’s infrastructure please contact the project team at [email protected].

Northshore is welcoming scores of new residents as sales at Frasers Property’s luxury Atria development have skyrocketed with more than 90 per cent of the available apartments already sold and only one terrace home remaining.

The $93 million project, which incorporates luxury apartments and terrace homes, is another architectural addition to the thriving Hamilton Reach master planned community. Priced from just $625,000* the Atria development is designed to offer residents a sense of freedom and space, and a connection to the natural surrounds.

Cameron Leggatt, General Manager Residential Queensland, Frasers Property Australia said significant interest was coming from owner-occupiers attracted to the riverside location and community offering at Hamilton Reach.

For more information about Atria contact the Frasers Property Hamilton Reach sales team on 13 38 38, or visit the sales centre at 310 MacArthur Ave, Hamilton.
