The Process

1. The teacher greets and introduces

him/herself.

2. The gives explains the procedure of the

activity and sets a time limit.

3. Students have a conversation.

4. The teacher stands behind the student to give

the necessary translation of chunks.

5. The teacher tells the students the time they

have to fininsh the activity.

7. The group reflects about how they felt during the

conversation.

8. The students listen to the audio that contains a

similar conversation and give the translation to their

native language.

9. The teacher copies the conversation on the

chalkboard and asks the students to form a

semicircle in front of it.

10. The teacher encourages students to take the

initiative to translate the conversation into their

native language.

11. The teacher reads the transcript three times.

Students listen.

12. In The Human Computer activity, the students

choose which phrase they want to reproduce.

13. Students practice the conversation in groups of two

or three.

14. The teacher corrects by repeating correctly.

15. The teacher plays the audio again. After this

students are asked to talk about the experience.
