support ethical work of a global nature;promote positive environmental awarenesssupport clubs, religious organizations, arts or cultural associations, or political organizations that seek to make a positive and ethical contribution in the community.
What you can’t do . .
Work done for course requirements – i.e. coop ed, parenting
Activities during school hours except during lunch or spare
Duties normally performed in the home or personal recreational activities
Court-ordered programs (community service programs for young offenders
Any activity that provides direct financial benefit or gain to the students or the student’s immediate family
Work that would normally be done by someone who would normally be paid
Simple membership in a school or community club
