ABOUT RE~CYCLE Re~Cycle is a UK registered charity based in Colchester, Essex. Since 1997 we have rescued over 68,000 unwanted bikes and sent them to Africa, benefitting 408,000 people and preventing hundreds of tonnes of bike waste in the UK. Our bikes, plus spare parts and tools, go to eight project partners in seven countries: Ghana (2 projects), Kenya, Malawi, Namibia, South Africa, The Gambia and Zambia. Our bikes improve people’s life prospects, create employment and help people access school and health services. We help people like Anthony in Zambia, who now saves two hours every day by cycling to school rather than walking. This gives him more energy for homework and other things like collecting water for his parents - using his bike! In 2014 we helped over 64,000 people like Anthony.
OVERVIEW Re~Cycle is looking to recruit an experienced Community and Events Fundraising Manager; a strategic thinker, you’ll be confident at devising plans and taking a lead in reaching new audiences and increasing our events income.
