COMMUNITY COLLEGE ANNUAL REPORT: 2019-20 BATCH We the department of Community College started on17th September, 2019 for three diploma courses for one year as UGC approved- Horticulture , Accounting & Taxation and Fashion Designing. The total students admitted for this courses were 25, but 22 students continued the courses and 20 students completed the course. Rev. Dr. Sr. Philo Jees (Principal LF College, Guruvayoor) welcomed the students to the campus. Rev. Sr. Jeesma Therese( Valsa.M.A), Co-Coordinator and in-charge of Community College gave brief knowledge about the courses offered by Community College. Faculty of Accounting and Taxation were Athira, Linson.C.F, Jophy, Seethu Baby, Sr.Lin Johns, Mr.Subeesh.Faculty of Horticulture were Reshmi, Jophy, Seethu Baby, and Mr.Linson. Faculty of Fashion designing were Ancy, Jophy, and Seethu Baby. We conducted a Mega Expo of craft items by students on 6 th February 2020.As a part of curriculum, students made a sale of vermin compost, vermin wash, mushroom, seedlings of different plants, organic compost, etc. The programme was inaugurated by our vice principal Rev. Sr. Jeesma Therese in the presence of all staff and students. Staff members and students purchased products from our students.

A MOU made for the purpose of Teaching and internship with i-campus international. As
per the conditions of this, Mr.Subeesh, faculty from this institution taught Tally to our students.
The students of Community college celebrated Christmas with uncle Santa close by cake
sharing and music of jingle bells. We celebrated this function with Principal Rev.Sr.Dr.Philo
Jees and vice principal Rev. Sr. Jeesma Therese.
Students of Horticulture visited Mannuthy Agriculture farm and Palayoor Nursery on 18th
February 2020 for experiential learning. Field visit created an extra enthusiasm among students.
Mr.Paulson, chartered accountant took seminar to students of Accounting and Taxation.
Exams were conducted and all students came out victoriously in bright colours. Students
Fashion designing got skill training and they started to stich dress in their homes and make
money. Students of Horticulture got internship for 2 weeks in Palayoor Nursery and students of
Accounting and taxation got internship for one month in i-campus international.
