Transcript of Community Care...MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR On the road with CCT’s Mobile Office Page 4...
Hi everyone We are nearly at the end of another huge year at CCT. Thanks to your support and to the hard work and
dedication of all our teams, CCT has been on a winning streak in 2017. Over the last few months a number of
CCT’s programs and services have received awards and accolades from industry bodies at a national, state and
regional level. In September we were received an Australian Aged Care Quality Agency Better Practices
Commendation Award for our Community Connections program. In October we received the Community
Services Award from Launceston Chamber of Commerce and its awards sponsors, Tasmanian Perpetual Trustees
and the University of Tasmania. In November CCT received a Highly Commended Award for Media, Marketing
and Engagement from the Tasmanian Aged Care Services Awards, sponsored by The Senior newspaper. We are
delighted with the recognition, and now we have to work out where to display all our trophies at the office!!
But wait, there is more!!! CCT was also recently awarded a contract to provide services and support to
Australian Defence Force Veterans state-wide; a huge achievement! And lastly, a big congratulations to members
of our Creative Connections group for the awards they won at this year’s Launceston Show, which included first
prize for their collaborative contribution–this year’s 2018 calendar (see below)
Our biggest and most important acknowledgement and reward is, of course, the satisfaction expressed in surveys
completed by both clients and workers. Getting the balance right in providing excellent home care services with
staff job satisfaction is our highest achievement! Wendy Mitchell, General Manager
Creative Connections Group wins 1st Prize @ Launceston Show Each year CCT clients participating in our Creative Connections Art Program contribute artwork to make a calendar. And
each year they create some fabulous work to include. This year their collaborative calendar was awarded first prize by judges
at the Launceston Show who awarded . Congratulations to all the contributing artists, and to Program Coordinator Jo
Anglesey and assistant Ella. Also a big thanks to CCT Board Member Margaret Barlow who puts considerable time into the
program and makes sure exhibits are ready to be entered into the show each year. The Creative Connections 2018 Calendar
is available for purchase at the CCT office for $12.00; It is a perfect Christmas present that won’t break the bank! Stock is
limited so please ring the office on 1300 722 400 to place an order before they are all gone!

CCT’s new mobile office ready to roll
CCT is on the move, literally! As a state-wide organisation
with a fixed office in Launceston we have been considering
for some time what would be the most economic and
effective way of providing a presence in all the places we
have clients and workers. The solution was to have a mobile
office. And, after a search far and wide, an affordable state-of
-the-art van has been purchased and is now on the road.
Case managers Alison and Karen took the new mobile office
on its first outing to Scottsdale & Bridport when they were
rolling out the CCT Roadshow there on 20 October, but its
first use as an office was on 24 October when Alison took it
to Devonport to use it as an office, and it worked a treat!
