munication i.e. 3G, LTE, 4G and

path to 5G for BSNL officers as

well as for other private and gov-

ernment organizations and PSU’s

like NSN, ONGC, HCL, TCIL etc.

NISWA Engineering Solutions on

12th February 2018 held an in-

teraction session with our EC III

year students and offered our

young, talented and knowledge-

able students an industry based

skill learning training programme

for 2 hours/day for two months.

20 students have attended this

visit. They will provide further

training to some of the students

on the basis of written test.

In ALTTC, there is train-

ing programs in mobile

communication area

namely –GSM, CDMA,

The lecture was ended with vote of thanks proposed by IEEE student branch counselor Dr. Narbada Prasad Gupta. He also re-quested the speaker to accom-modate the students for Indus-trial visit at ALTTC, Ghaziabad,

so that students get the idea of real

working environment. Expert lecture on “NGN and Mobile Communication” was organized under the banner of IEEE Student branch on 26th February 2018. Mr. Abhishek Gupta, SDE, ALTTC, Ghaziabad was the speaker. He discussed about next generation net-works and mobile communica-tion. He explained about the integration of various wireless

ECE department has or-ganized a guest lecture on 3rd January 2018 under Gentronix Forum. He is Chair of Numerical Opti-mization, TU Dresden De-partment of Mathematics, Dresden, Germany. The research and teaching activities of Numerical Op-timization focus on the de-sign, analysis, and applica-tion of efficient numerical methods for several classes of optimization problems. They include smooth nonlinear con-strained optimization, complementarity prob-lems and variational ine-q u a l i t i e s , r e l a t e d nonsmooth and degener-ate problems, problems in discrete optimization, in particular problems of cut-ting and packing, optimi-zation tasks in machine l e a r n i n -gand diverseapplications. He is Principal In-vestigator in 3 ongoing re-search projects. He is working as editorial board of Computational and Ap-plied Mathematics,

Springer, Optimiza-tion, Pacific Journal of Optimization. Having highly re-ferred text book on linear algebra. His research interests are Linear Algebra, Critical Solutions and numerical opti-mization. He has delivered his lec-ture on linear alge-bra and on various optimization meth-ods used there.

He has talked about different depart-ments at TU Dres-den. He also talked about that there are separate de-partments of Re-

Department of ECE has

organized a Virtual work-

shop on Outcome based

Education on 5th -9th

March 2018. The talk was

delivered by faculty mem-

bers of NITTTR, Chandi-

garh. Inauguration of the

event was done by Mr. SK

Gupta , Mr. BS Pabla, Mr.

SK Dhameja Mr. AB

Gupta. In the second ses-

sion Mr. BS Pabla has

given introduction of the

outcome based education .

He has discussed that in

the coming lectures we

will discuss about the vi-

sion/ mission of the de-

partments and also issues

related to teaching learn-

ing process. In the third

session of that day, Mr. PS

Grover has discussed

about teaching learning

process with outcome

based education

and to frame out

rubrics related to

that. Next day he

has continued his

lecture on how to

frame Vision and

Mission of the in-

dividual depart-

ments and also

discussed about

how the vision/mission of the college is related

to that. He has also discussed about program

education objectives of the various depart-

ments of a college. He has taken a example for

framing PEOs and talked about how it is re-

lated with vision and mission of the depart-

ment. Dr. P.K. Singla has delivered his lecture

on Bloom’s Taxonomy and tell us about dif-

ferent keywords for framing out course out-

comes. Mr. Sandeep Grover talked about Pro-

gram outcomes and mapping of course out-

comes with POs & PEOs.

Ms. Maitreyee Dutta discussed about evalua-

tion of attainments of COs, POs and PEOs. An

expert lecture was delivered by Lini Mathew /

Shimmi S L for filling up of SAR Mr. C

Ramakrishan shared his experience on NBA

Accreditation. In the valedictory session Mr.
