BIOGRAPHIES
Doug Montgomery
Known as the “Master Storyteller on 88 Keys,” Doug fell in love with the piano at the age of 10, and he began attending Northwestern University’s pre-college music preparatory program when he was only fifteen years old. After achieving a Bachelor’s Degree in Music from Northwestern University, Doug went on to get his Master’s Degree from Juilliard. Doug began performing classical concerts and, in his spare time, began playing at piano bars. Doug has given many concerts throughout the United States, and for American presidents, Ambassadors, and Heads of State. He has appeared with the Orchestra of Santa Fe, the Victoria Symphony Orchestra, the New Jersey Symphony, the Chicago Chamber Orchestra, and many more. He has performed all around the world. In his home town Santa Fe, Doug quickly became famous for his classical/pop/American songbook repertoire. He’s been called “a wizard of the keyboard,” and “the best in the world at what he does!” Doug has been “playing the soundtrack of everyone’s life” at Vanessie of Santa Fe since 1983.
Elizabeth Young
Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Radio City Music Hall, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Santa Fe Symphony are only a few of the places Elizabeth has performed both violin and piano concerts. A graduate of the Manhattan School of Music, she has given concerts throughout the United States, and in Canada, Mexico, France, Germany, Austria, Italy, and Oman. After spending 10 years performing in New York City, Elizabeth moved to Santa Fe, where she is a guest faculty member at the New Mexico School for the Arts and performs in many musical venues in the area. She appears regularly at Vanessie’s, and she is the conductor of the Intermezzo String Orchestra at the Santa Fe Youth Symphony. Elizabeth also travels the country for Chamber Music and solo performances as a violinist and pianist.

Deborah Ferguson
As co-anchor of NBC5 Today weekday mornings, Deborah is a well-known personality in the area. Deborah is a graduate of Texas Christian University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. While in college, Deborah interned at NBC5, and she was hired by the station permanently in 1991. Deborah has earned professional recognition throughout her career, including a regional Edward R. Murrow Award, and a Gracie Award for Outstanding Anchor-News presented by American Women in Communications. She has also received many other honors and awards. When not in the studio, Deborah spends much of her time at community and charitable events, especially those focused on empowering girls through education.
Dean McCurry
Auctioneer extraordinaire, Dean has called over 500 auctions and has raised over $30 million for organizations that support veterans, the homeless, senior citizens, schools, churches, animals, victims of crime, abuse, disaster, special needs, and many more. He began his auctioning career by calling Bingo games at his kids’ schools, and he moved from there to become a charitable auctioneer 15 years ago; he started auctioneering full-time in 2009. Dean says he specializes in Charity Auctions because of the personal involvement and positive results. With so many outstanding causes, he says he enjoys seeing the smiles on the faces of those whom he helps.

Mack Price
Our entertaining DJ, Mack, is a graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, the largest independent college of contemporary music in the world. After college, he continued to hone his special blend of high energy guitar playing with the techniques of rock and jazz luminaries. Mack is a ten year veteran of New York’s rich and diverse music scene. Mack’s mix of traditional rock with contemporary rock has resulted in his unique and creative sound. He leads his own band, “The Prigs,” and writes, produces, and performs with them while also pairing with other musicians to inspire the listener.
Darryl Brooks
Our strolling magician, Darryl, has held a lifelong fascination and passion for magic. Soon after retiring, he created a second career as a full-time professional magician and quickly emerged as an engaging, energetic and popular performer. Darryl is a student of the Magic and Mystery School in Las Vegas and has won awards in stand-up magic competitions in the Oklahoma City area.
