This Wednesday!
This past Sunday, our church enthusiastically voted to approve the recommendation from the Property Committee to renovate our Sanctuary and to replace our HVAC system in our Education Building, Wright Building, and Sanctuary. This emphasis in the life of our church now has a name: Together We Worship.
Worship: As we present our bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God, we do so as an act of worship. As we serve our Lord within the walls of this church building and out in the “market place,” we do so as an act of worship. As we join together to pray and to give, we do so as an act of worship. And, our Sanctuary is the place we gather together to worship.
Isaiah and Us: We have walked through the first 8 verses of Isaiah 6 – putting ourselves in the place of Isaiah as he en-countered our Holy God. We have considered the awe he ex-perienced, the despair he felt over his sin, and the utter relief he gained when the Lord removed his guilt and cleansed him from sin. Now, like Isaiah, we have the chance to respond in obedience and with a sense of God’s high calling on our lives. Certainly this is true for the life of every disciple – but now, by faith, we can invest ourselves in the future and eternal work of FBC Tyler.
Next Steps: In the coming days, you will receive a small packet of information regarding the project, and how you can prepare for, pray about and invest in the vision set before us.
I am grateful to pastor a church that continues to Live, Teach, and Tell the Gospel, making disciples for Christ now and in future generations!
As always, the leadership of the church welcomes your questions and insights as we look ahead.
