COMMUNICATION WITH THE CONCERNED AUTHORITIES

In its endeavour to establish channels of communication and engage with the administration and political leadership of the country, IMPAR wrote various letters of concern. IMPAR appraised Shri Mohan Bhagwat Ji, Chief (RSS) on his positive remarks about Muslims in India and sent an appreciation letter encouraging his positive thought regarding status of Indian Muslims who live in India with utmost happiness as a citizen and contributing invariably in the nation building. IMPAR has written a letter to the President of India, Prime Minister, Defense Minister and CDS on the fake propaganda against ‘Muslim Regiment’ in which it was categorically emphasized that how rumors are being spread by certain individuals and groups forces inimical to our country and our Armed Forces. A letter was written to the Heads of all political parties contesting Bihar General Election on Muslim Concern highlighting major issues such as educational and health concern, Muslims representation, jobs, entrepreneurship and special package for Muslims women, etc. Another set of letters was sent to all corporate houses requesting them to refrain all such contents of advertisement on media channels that spread discord and divisiveness in society. The letter has specifically mentioned issues like Love Jihad which are being promoted for gaining TRPs resulting in increased hatred between the communities. A letter was addressed to Emmanuel Macron, The President of Republic of France in which IMPAR has condemned a series of attacks in France and expressed deep concern over Holy Prophet Mohammad (SAW) cartoon raw. IMPAR expressed that freedom of speech and expression should have promoted only up to the extent where it does not hurt the sentiments of others and to seek not to arbitrarily or unnecessarily injure those with whom we are sharing a society and a planet.

PROPOSALS/DELIBERATIONS

IMPAR invited a group deliberation on the topic “Are we the Muslims doing our bit as an Indian?” to inculcate the young generation about the contributions of Muslims community in making India a great nation in the world and to send strong message to all the community about Muslims efforts to cultivate their bits in the overall growth of India. A Proposal for Madarsa Development was sent to the concerned authority for external funding. The said proposal has highlighted various objectives including improvement in quality education with scientific temperament, betterment of health facilities in Madarsa, coaching and remedial class support and overall infrastructural development of Madrasas. All these objectives may be achieved in collaboration with NIOS and if the said proposal receives grants then approximately 500 Madrasas will be developed in first phase in Delhi (NCR) and UP in one calendar year.

STATE CHAPTERS

IMPAR President Dr. MJ Khan and Executive Director Mr. Khalid Ansari met Mr. Salim Alware, Maharashtra Coordinator of IMPAr and Azizullah Khan in Mumbai on November 6th, 2020 and had prodcutive discussions on IMPAR Maharashtra Chapter plans as well as Global Launch of Movement Against Extremism, largest signature campaign for peaceful co-existence.

Dr. MJ Khan, President, IMPAR along with Mr. Khalid Ansari, Executive Director at IMPAR visited Azam Campus, Pune and met bright kids of PAI ICT Academy. The Academy gives hightech education to youngstudents of poor families in Robotics, Computer Hardware, Digital Marketing, Cyber Security, Social Engineering, Coding, Spoken English, Mobile Repairing, and other modern courses. Students of age group 8-14 are experts and well trained in these courses and many of them are teachers. IMPAR congratulates Mr. PA Inamdar’s efforts of selecting and nurturing talents at an early stage and developing future leaders.

COMMUNITY WORK

Under IMPAR’s Health and Sanitation Program, IMPAR team of efficacious volunteers conducted Sanitization, Mask Distribution and Awareness Drive at Nizamuddin Dargah and around Masjid Moth, South Extension, Delhi on October 18th, 2020 and October 20th, 2020 respectively.

IMPAR moved across NCR and conducted another Sanitization and Mask Distribution Drive in Hapur, Meerut on November 1st. The motive is to encourage others to start similar drives in their neighbourhood to keep the area clean and hygienic especially in times of Covid.

Team IMPAR distributed masks and posters depicting guidelines for Namazis to the caretakers of the Mosque in Inderlok, Delhi on November 7th, 2020. The three masjids that the volunteers covered were Makki Jama Masjid, Masjid Gamoon and Mohammadi Masjid.

IMPAR conducted a COVID-19 Awareness Drive and Sanitization Drill in Daryaganj, Old Delhi on November 8th, 2020 where the team distributed masks, sanitized the area and spread awareness of Covid19 and how to take precautions in these difficult times. The team of volunteers for the community-based work is led by IMPAR’s Head of the Field Programs, Mr. Shan Mohammed with the aim of spreading the message of “keeping the neighbourhood clean and covid free”. IMPAR Health and Sanitation Program is designed for taking up responsibility of our surroundings, to motivate youth towards cleanliness and hygiene and make them responsible. As it is rightly said, “Cleanliness is half Iman”.

WEBINARS HELD

IMPAR pays tribute to the Missile Man of India Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam on his Birth Anniversary by hosting a webinar on Oct 15, 2020. The panel was shared by Dr.Javed Yunus (Adviser Aramco &Saudi CISP; Member Steering Committee, IMPAR), Col. Fasih Ahmed, Mr. Agam Khare (Founder, CEO at Absolute- A Global Decision Agriculture Company), and Dr. Nagma Abbasi (Founder and CEO at Next Gen Life Sciences Pvt Ltd; Member Steering Committee, IMPAR. They all spoke about their experiences with this great personality and also how his thoughts still inspire them all

IMPAR conducted a webinar “The March on the path of Sir Syed" to pay its heartfelt tribute to Sir Syed Ahmed Khan (founder of AMU) on the occasion of his birth anniversary on 17th October. Gen Zameeruddin Shah, Mr. Khwaja Shahid, Prof. S.K. Singh, Padma Shree Dr. Akhtarul Vasey, Brigadier Syed Ahmed Ali, and Dr. M Sayeed Alam shared the panel where they all discussed the relevance of Sir Syed in contemporary times and paid tribute to him. Under IMPAR’s Career and Coaching Development Program, IMPAR held a session on “How to Crack IAS in First Attempt?”, scheduled on October 21st where the guest speaker was Mr. Ahsanul Haq. The honourable speaker motivated the aspirants to crack IAS in the very first attempt and made them familiar with a few spellbinding approaches and innovative tools of study to achieve the goal.

Under IMPAR’s Career and Coaching Development Program, IMPAR held a session on “How to Crack IAS in First Attempt?”, scheduled on October 21st where the guest speaker was Mr. Ahsanul Haq. The honourable speaker motivated the aspirants to crack IAS in the very first attempt and made them familiar with a few spellbinding approaches and innovative tools of study to achieve the goal.

IMPAR conducted another webinar on October 24th on “Doing Business through Incorporated Body” under IMPAR’s Skilling and Entrepreneurship Program. Mr. Nesar Ahmed who has served as a President at Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) was the keynote speaker. He talked about popular legal entities which are incorporated for carrying on business, tax rate, benefits of incorporation, etc. Mr. Nesar Ahmed also gave a bird eyed view on MSMEs.

IMPAR regulated a synergistic dialogue on “From William Hunter (1882) to Justice Sachar (2006) and Beyond - Status and Challenges of Muslims Education and Development (2020)”, on November 3. The webinar had Padmashree Dr. Akhtarul Wasey, Advocate Majeed Menon, Dr. Amna Mirza, Mr. K Rahman Khan, and Dr. MJ Khan on the panel and Ms. Sheeba Aslam Fehmi as the moderator of the discussion. They talked about the challenges persisting today and what all we can provide our youth with. They highlighted the importance of education and discussed various commissions that were made but failed to get acted upon. Also, how we, as responsible and educated Muslims, can raise those concerns again.

PRESS RELEASES ISSUED

A press release was made on the issue of fake propaganda against ‘Muslim Regiment’ which was covered by reputed media houses in the country. IMPAR also demanded the Prime Minister and the President for holding the individuals and social media responsible for the sinister post and bring them to the book. A press release was issued on Muslims Concerns before political parties contesting Bihar General Election, 2020 which was covered by reputed media houses in the country where IMPAR raised some issues and feels that all the political parties must include Muslims concern for education, social and political empowerment into their working agenda to bring the community into mainstream. IMPAR issued another press release condemning killings in France and at the same time appealing French President Emmanuel Macron to ensure safety and security of the Muslim minorities living all over France. IMPAR, in the same press statement, condemned in strongest and unequivocal terms the beheading of a French school teacher Samuel Paty on October 16 for showing cartoons of Prophet Mohammed, saying it was most tragic and barbaric act which has no place in a civilized world. IMPAR also expresses that the organisation expects the French Government to formulate a new law to prosecute such persons, as per the prevailing provisions of law, who are found guilty of insulting religious sentiments of any community.

SOCIAL AND DIGITAL MEDIA ACTIVITIES

IMPAR sent greetings on Sir Syed Day, founder of AMU, who initiated renaissance amongst Muslim community, stressed on modern scientific education, rational thinking, championed Hindu Muslim unity, advocated religious tolerance highlighting the relevance of his teachings today

IMPAR wishes on Dussehra, the day to know your destiny, the evil in you will eliminate you. The day to make resolution that you will do all good and no evil whatsoever.

IMPAR takes pride in celebrating the birthday of the Iron Man of India who undoubtedly worked for its Unity as well, Vallabhbhai Jhaverbhai Patel, (31 October 1875 – 15 December 1950), popularly known as Sardar Patel who served as the first Deputy Prime Minister of India. He was an Indian barrister, and a senior leader of the Indian National Congress who played a leading role in the country's struggle for independence and guided its integration into a united, independent nation.

IMPAR congratulates Joe Biden President Elect of the United States on the democratic win.

IMPAR also congratulates Kamala Harris Vice President Elect of the United States for becoming the first lady Vice President of the States.

IMPAR wishes Urdu Day to one and all on the Birth Anniversary of Allama Iqbal.

IMPAR completed its six months and has come a long way. A booklet on its six months journey was released.

ORGANISATIONAL ACTIVITIES

IMPAR introduces Articles Corner, an IMPAR initiative that provides an intellectual platform to creative writers who want to display their ideas in bringing Muslim’s issues for public readership to improve image of Indian Muslims. In this section, writers can speak out their views and make a point with regard to a particular hot topic concerning Indian Muslims, their social reforms and empowerment. A section of ‘Articles Corner’ has been created on IMPAR website for the readers to get updated on different issues concerning Muslims and their image. So far two articles have been uploaded on the website which is freely accessible to the readers. IMPAR will upload articles preferably on weekly basis on the burning topic of Muslim Concerns.

IMPAR has started a membership drive in the month of November invited all the internal members and also extended the membership invitation to external members to obtain the formal membership of the Indian Muslims for Progress and Reforms (IMPAR). Benefits of Membership:

It has been 7 months that IMPAR was established with the aim to change the image perception of the Muslim community and to create better opportunities for our younger generation and create a positive change in the society by empowering our women and reforming the plight of our brethren. The journey has been very eventful and the organisation delivered in many areas with a sense of urgency. The organisation grew at a very fast pace with efficacious organisational capabilities and the contribution of all the members of Steering Committee, Executive Committee, various Councils of IMPAR and functional groups members. We have to plug along in terms of delivery, direction and credibility and work on finding long term solutions and be a ray of hope to navigate the community to the path of reforms and progress. We hope to further accelerate the speed of output and delivery in the months to come. Hope, our collective efforts make some difference to the situation of our community.
