Metropolis, etc. have been made,which are all related orobots.Robots are being used mainly in factories.They arealso being used to prerformdangerousobs and scientificexperiments.They are also used at home, in space andin medicine.Industrial obots can work where human beingscan'tv,rork due to the heat or the poisonous environment.Industrial robots can lay under-seacables or telephonesand can work in coal mines, oil fields etc. Robots arebeing used successfr.:llyn nuclear power plants for thedisposalof radioactivewastes.Different types of domestic robots are being used inadvancedcountries ike America and Japan for differentpurposes. Many top robots are available which canproduce different sounds and light effects to entertain

children.Robots are used for many mbdical purposs too.They can help the physicallyhandicapped.The Japanesehave developeda robot which acts like a patient and isbeing used as a guinea-pig or training medicalstudents.
