Figurative images represent real objects/human beings with different degrees of likeness; no keeping colours, proportions, etc. They can be a sign, a simplification, and a deformed image.
Realistic images reproduce the model accurately.
Abstract images do not imitate the reality, it just is interested in the colour, the shape, the proportion, and the structure.

Silhouette: It is defined by enclosed space of the same colour or texture. It highlights the most important part of a shape and focuses on its visual message.
Enclosed space: it is the inner surface of a shape made by its contour. It gives us more visual information because it has colour and texture.
