mainly because they can be hazardous and take up a lot of space amidst crowds. Many festival organizers try to beaccommodating however, and set up extra bike parking areas for visitors.

Outside beverages and food are not allowed

Don’t be surprised if a supervisor asks to check your bag upon entering a festival. You might have to leave or throw awayyour favourite drink outside, as bottles are usually not allowed. External alcoholic beverages and soft drinks are restrictedfor security reasons. One such reason is that some drinks might not be safe especially if they have a high alcoholpercentage. Fortunately most events feature food and beverage stands (though the prices might be on the higher side).

Animals cannot enter the area

They may be cute but dogs, cats, parrots or any kind of domestic pets are not allowed unfortunately. Though trained, someanimals can make people feel uncomfortable or can be seen as hindrances, not to mention that some folks suffer fromallergies. The only animals permitted are service animals, on most festival sites.

You cantake pictures for your Facebook album, enjoy some delicious meals from food trucks, scream your lungs out for yourfavourite music band and more.
