How to Prepare
Commingle Recycling
#1 Rule: All Recycling Must be Clean
Flatten ALL Cardboard and Paper
All other items must retain their shape for proper sorting
Shredded Paper must be contained in a paper bag with the top closed tightly
Caps and Lids
Weyerhaeuser in Glenwood will accept plastic caps and lids contained in a plastic bag
Basic Rule: Remove and dispose of caps & lids
Metal can lids may be left attached and pushed into the can
Labels
No need to remove any labels
What About Glass?
Glass
Clean Bottles and Jars ONLY
All colors mixed together
Remove caps, lids, corks
No need to remove labels
Glass is always collected in a separate container from the commingle recycling
What about Used
Motor Oil?
Used Motor OilFor Residential customers with glass
recycling, Sanipac will pick up 1 gallon of used motor oil per recycle pick up.
The used motor oil must be contained in a plastic jug witha screw on lid and clearly
labeled “USED MOTOR OIL”and placed next to the blue box.
