With a name like zebra shark, you might expect those animals to have stripes! Actually, zebra sharks are named for the appearance of their young, which are brown with white stripes. Adult zebra sharks look very different from their namesake; they are mostly tan with brown spots--no stripes at all! Zebra sharks may grow to 10 feet or more and have a distinctively long tail. See the zebra and other species of shark across from the Wildlife World Aquarium stingray touch tank.

THE GLASS MANAGERIE Arizona Theatre Company at the Herberger Theatre Center in Phoenix
There are productions of classics in the American theatre that sometimes miss the mark-wavering in self indulgence and myopic interpretations that have been done time and time again. Thank God Arizona Theatre Company’s production of A GLASS MENAGERIE is not one of them. From the moment the lights faded up and we were greeted by a stage of life-it was clear Director Juliette Carillo was going to make her mark on this profoundly personal Tennessee Williams classic. Juliette’s direction and staging were an enormous contribution to a story most Americans will experience but rarely view. Along with Juliette’s excellent direction were some great performances any director would pray be the clay they can fashion into an acting masterpiece. Starting with Noel Joseph Allain as Tom, Catalina Maynard as Amanda, and Barbra Wengerd as Laura, this Wingfield family portrait was heart wrenching and stunning to watch. This feeble pen cannot touch the depth of emotions running through the spirit of this family. Bring in a gentlemen caller full of energy and excitement in the name of Jim O’Connor, played by the charming Brain Ibsen, and you have a drama extraordinaire. This is one of those shows worth sneaking in the back stage door just to view the eyes of America travel down the road of Tennessee Williams hopes and dreams. For Tickets call 602-256-6899 or online ArizonaTheatre.org Through April 11
AROUND THE WORLD IN A BAD MOOD at Mesa Arts Center in Mesa.
For anyone who has flown and travelled any airline in a good mood the new production of AROUND THE WORLD IN A BAD MOOD at The Mesa Arts Center will help you laugh at the trials and turbulence of air travel. This Confession of a Flight Attendant adventure-comedy is based on the true life journey of Rene Foss (our Author), who also performs as the lead flight attendant in this scene and monologue driven laugh along. Rene is funny and witty as the juggling flight attendant who must meet every challenge and traverse every path to get to flight attendant heaven (the Flight Attendant of the Year Award). Adding fun and envy to the air travel trash are Rachael Lee and Hector Coris as fellow flight attendants. These three performers together make up a grand Hello-Goodbye-Aloha-Shalom- comedy worth your frequent miles. Now can I have some peanuts and water! Tickets 480-644-6500 or online MesaArtsCenter.com

“Death at a Funeral”, opens in Phoenix April 16th!Here’s the updated corrected information for “Death at a Funeral”! “The Last Song”, Actor Greg Kinnear delivers a soul stirring performance…Movie review by Stan Robinson
Greg Kinnear has come a long way as an actor since his days of the first host of “Talk Soup” in 1991 and hosted until 1995, when he left the show for the NBC late-night talk show, “Later with Greg Kinnear” (1994). His recent dramatic role in “Green Zone” is pivotal to set the tone of what Matt Damon’s character is up against, the power of the ‘higher ups’ in the Pentagon. My experience on many
movie sets as an assistant director is, “An actor’s eyes is what delivers the emotions of the character”. In “The Last Song”, he gives a soul stirring performance…
Steve Miller (Greg Kinnear) is a former concert pianist and teacher, and is living the quiet life in Tybee Island, a Southern beach town, having moved from New York City. He’s been divorced for 3 years and is estranged from his two children, 17-year-old Veronica, nicknamed ‘Ronnie’ (Miley Cyrus) and a son Jonah (Bobby Coleman) around 10 years old. On a strong suggestion from his ex-wife, she arrives to deliver the children for a summer stay to reconnect with their father. Ronnie is rebellious and has been for the last 3 years, while Jonah and his dad instantly re-bond. The only connection he and Ronnie ever had also seems lost, their love and natural talent of writing and playing classical music on the piano.
The summer of reconnection of a father and his two children is a powerful story, and when a shattering revealation is disclosed a little over half way through, there couldn’t have been a dry eye in the theater, including this reviewer. Director Julie Anne Robinson used a lot of close-ups, and in those poignant moments, Greg Kinnear brought us into the heart and soul of ‘Steve Miller’…
“The Last Song” starring Miley Cyrus, Greg Kinnear, Bobby Coleman, Liam Hemsworth, Hallock Beals, Kelly Preston, Nick Lashaway, and Carly Chaikin.
Directed by Julie Anne Robinson.
Written by Nicholas Sparks & Jeff Van Wie. Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures release. Rated PG for thematic material, some violence, sensuality and mild language.

ARIZONA’S ORIGINAL STEAKHOUSESTOCK FULL OF HISTORY, CLASS, AND CHARM
Stockyards Restaurant Continues to ImpressWith Delicious Menu and Unique Retro Western Vibe
If you’re looking for a truly unique Valley dining experience, you need look no further, plain and simple. The Stockyards Restaurant and 1889 Saloon, a Phoenix landmark, has retained its Old West comfort and charm while regaining its foothold as one of Phoenix’s favorite steakhouses. Although the land has changed, the popularity of Arizona’s Original Steakhouse remains intact, more than 50 years later. Tremendous value with a unique retro-western vibe awaits eager and appreciative Valley diners each and every time they come through the door.
Known for over 60 years for their aged hand-cut steaks and prime ribs, Stockyards also features fresh seafood and wild game. Value and originality is the name of the game, far from traditional ala carte steakhouses. Dinners include a relish tray with garlic ranch dressing, basket of baking soda biscuits with prickly pear drizzled honey butter, choice of soup or salad and/or potato and rice pilaf. Priced $10 to $15 per entrée under other comparable steakhouses, everything falls into place for a wonderful meal among family and friends.
Happy hour is a unique part of Stockyard’s tremendous appeal as well, with complimentary tenderloin sliders from 4-7pm Monday through Friday. Drink specials include $2 off draft beers, $3 domestic bottles, $4 well drinks and $5 house wines. All to be enjoyed within possibly the most beautiful hand-carved mahogany back bar in the Valley. The historical ambience experienced here is truly impressive, second to none. Visit www.stockyardsrestaurant.com for more information. Reservations available at 602-273-7378.

with various needs in Arizona.” Says Kelly Cooper, Regional Director of Operations for The Melting Pot restaurants in Arizona
Fondue lovers are encouraged to spend National Cheese Fondue Day, which occurs on April 11 each year, at The Melting Pot where they serve up the cheesy concoction by the Caquelon (a funny name for the pot used to melt the ingredients for the fondue).
Some fun cheese fondue facts:
● The earliest cited record of a fondue recipe appeared in the scrolls of Homer’s Iliad.
● To classify as a “fondue”, the dish must consist of at least two varieties of cheeses that are melted with wine and a bit of
fl our and served communally out of a pot
● Over 100 varieties of cheese fondue exist, each with a unique name and different blend of cheeses, wine and seasoning.
About the Cardinals Charities: Founded in 1990, Cardinals Charities supports programs designed to improve the quality of life for children, women, and minorities in the state of Arizona. Cardinals Charities’ grants are awarded on an annual basis in response to applications from various non-profi t organizations. Since its inception, Cardinals Charities has distributed more than $3.5 dollars to over 250 worthy Arizona charitable organizations.
Cheese For CharityThe Melting Pot Gives Back to Local Charity on April 11
On April 11 The Melting Pot: a fondue restaurant will celebrate National Cheese Fondue Day. While it may sound “cheesy”, a portion of the proceeds from the day will help to support the Arizona Cardinals Charities efforts. The Melting Pot will
donate $10 of each cheese fondue and $15 from each Big Night Out sold on April 11 to the organization. All three valley locations will participate in the event.
“We are honored to support the great work that the Arizona Cardinals Charities produce on a daily basis. They give to multiple organizations throughout the year, which is why we chose this charity to give back to the greatest amount of people

GAME! COMMANDAND CONQUER
With some new coaches on staff and plenty of new players on board, D-backs Manager A.J. Hinch is ready to lead his squad back to contention in the N. L. West.
GA

There is an energy to the 2010 D-backs that is palpable the moment you set foot in the clubhouse or on the fi eld for batting practice.
It isn’t that the team got younger. It didn’t. The D-backs are, collectively, an older club than the 2009 version. And the exuberance isn’t just with the youngest players like Justin Upton of Gerardo Parra, it’s evident with everyone, from Dan Haren to Adam LaRoche, from Bob Howry to Mark Reynolds.
On March 9 in a Spring Training game against the Cincinnati Reds, Conor Jackson went 3-for-3 with a pair of runs and a double, and while that may seem like nothing special inasmuch as it happened in an exhibition, it was exactly what the D-backs needed to see.
The team’s lineup suffered innumerable problems in 2009 stemming largely from the fact that the most dependable on-base machine was shut down in early May, and had been rendered ineffective even before that with Valley fever.
“I’m just happy to have energy,” Jackson said, “that was my main goal coming in to this year.”
Jackson is back and that’s music to the ears of his fellow D-backs who look to rebound in 2010 behind a bolstered lineup, a reinforced pitching staff and a revamped group of coaches.
“I think the last thing we’re thinking about here is what we did last year,” Jackson said. “That’s the great thing about Spring Training. We started on a clean slate.”
Jackson got off to a hot start in Spring Training and kept it going, shooting line drives to the outfi eld the way he has when he’s helped carry the D-backs offense in the past.
In addition to Jackson, another signifi cant focus this Spring was on Brandon Webb, who was perhaps the best pitcher in the National League from 2006-2008. A shoulder injury sustained on Opening Day in 2009 knocked him out for the year, but Webb spent the offseason focusing on a full return to health, and a full return to the D-backs rotation. Though that may be delayed a bit at the outset while he builds his arm strength, Webb is expected to contribute to the D-backs for most of this season.
“When Brandon Webb is healthy, what he does for a team’s morale and a team’s belief in whether or not we can win can’t really be measured,” Manager A.J.
Hinch said. “Him alone, getting back to health, and putting him in a rotation that includes Dan Haren and Edwin Jackson and competition for the other guys, it just makes your team feel better. It makes your team feel like you have a chance to win every time he’s on the mound.”
Hinch led a newly assembled D-backs coaching staff through a successful Spring Training this season. Kirk
Gibson and Glenn Sherlock are the veterans. Jack Howell and Mel Stottlemyre Jr. are experienced, having joined the club during the 2009 season, but they got to work with the team from the outset in 2010, a significant luxury in a game predicated on repetition and mechanics. First Base Coach Matt Williams and Third Base Coach Bo Porter are the new guys, and both were integral immediately in Spring Training, with Williams running infield drills in workouts and after batting practice on game days, and Porter running outfield drills throughout camp.
Of course, the coaches aren’t the only additions to the uniformed personnel. LaRoche, Howry, Jackson, Ian Kennedy, Aaron Heilman and Kelly Johnson all donned Sedona Red with the intention of winning championships.
LaRoche and Johnson played alongside each other in the second half of last season with the Atlanta Braves, and came up through the Braves’ minor league system together.
“They bring a lot to our team in their presence,” Hinch said. “It helps for them with this team that they played together, it’s probably an easier transition for them. They’ve made themselves right at home. They don’t look the least bit uncomfortable as far as joining a new team.”
The pair should lend support to a D-backs offense that was mostly carried last year by players still establishing themselves. Reynolds and Miguel Montero made huge strides last year, but nobody made a bigger leap than Upton. D-backs fans and baseball as a whole quickly ignored the fact that he was only 21 when his name was called at the All-Star Game in St. Louis.
This year, Upton should continue to rocket toward baseball superstardom, but will be well supported in the process.
“I don’t want to put so much pressure on (Upton) that he thinks he needs to carry our team,” Hinch said. “One thing that we’ve established this offseason is that the additions of LaRoche and Johnson and Jackson to our lineup — and obviously Reynolds and Montero are a year older, a healthy Snyder and Drew coming back — we’ve got a lot of guys who can carry us at different parts of the year and he doesn’t have to be the only guy producing in the lineup.”
The organization worked out a long-term contract with Upton prior to the season that will keep him in a D-backs uniform
through 2015. It was something of a theme for the team this winter, working out multi-year deals with young players. Reynolds signed a three year deal with a club option for a fourth midway through Spring Training, and Edwin Jackson signed a two-year deal in February.
Jackson, who has now been traded three times, said he’s looking forward to staying in the same clubhouse for a couple of years.
“It’s always good to have some stability,” he said. “Through the years I have spent time in clubhouses year-to-year, but now to be locked in, I can really get adjusted and get acquainted with my teammates. By two years, you know everybody, they know you, and you know each other’s habits, likes and dislikes. It’s always nice to know that you have some stability and you’ll be settled in for a couple years.”
There will be a lot of spectacular things to see at Chase Field in 2010. The defending National League champion Philadelphia Phillies come to town for a weekend series in April (23-25), giving the D-backs an early shot at showing baseball the new, improved squad in 2010.
The New York Yankees, reigning World Series champs, will be making only their second regular season trip to Chase Field in June. In games that will likely fill the house, D-backs fans can buy a number of different ticket packages that can put them in the seats and help hold a home field advantage against a formidable opponent.
The D-backs will take on the rival Dodgers in a pair of significant series at Chase Field, the first coming on Fourth of July
weekend, when the D-backs will have three days of celebration, with fireworks presented by Gila River Casinos.
The Dodgers are on the schedule again when the D-backs close out the home schedule on Sept. 24-26. Fandemonium weekend might be complete with important games to decide the NL West, especially when you include three games against Colorado (Sept. 21-23) that precede the Dodgers series.
The D-backs have a new coaching staff, several new key contributors on the field, and an edge that suggests something special is happening in the desert in 2010.

The Arizona Rattlers of the Arena Football League have reached broadcast agreements with the NFL Network and KAZT-TV (AZ-TV) to broadcast a total of nine of the team’s games. The NFL Network will broadcast one home game to a national audience while AZ-TV will carry another eight games broadcasting to Phoenix and Northern Arizona. With nine games on the broadcast schedule, the Arizona Rattlers are excited to have more television exposure than any other year in the team’s history. In addition to broadcasting the games, AZ-TV will produce a weekly Rattlers segment on The McMahon

April Events By Chuck Noll
April is here and the calendar is fi lling up with all kinds of really nice charity events. Events that feature great food and great wine…and increasingly great beer as well. Over the past few years more and more of these charity functions that previously offered beer only to those who insisted on it, and reserved their higher-end beverages for wine and spirits, are including beer right out with the rest of the grown up drinks.
Last weekend was one of the fi rst of these events, Bon Vivant was held at Rawhide in Chandler. This “Celebration of Fine Food and Drink” is sponsored annually by Basha’s Supermarkets (among others) and featured some of the best wines, spirits, and, yes, beers. This year, in addition to high-end craft beers from Big Sky and Bell’s, as well as Wyder’s
Cider, made it in to the VIP area for the fi rst time. Fine Belgian beers like Gulden Draak and Piraat were featured for those who donated extra to the Boy’s and Girl’s Clubs, and deserved something special. The beer, as expected, was a big hit.
But what’s coming in April? Plenty of things, from large events to small, there are several things going on every week; and the best ones include beer. Let’s highlight a few of these events. April 8th is the Forks and Corks event put on by the Arizona Restaurant Association and the Arizona Hotel and Lodging Association. This event, held right after work at The Esplanade on Camelback features top restaurants in the Valley such as Blanco, The Melting Pot, Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs and a couple of dozen others cranking out some of their best food, all of which is paired with wine and beer. This year, World Class Beverages and Crescent Crown will be featuring a special “Beer Pairing” booth where attendees can learn about pairing food and beer (forksandcorks.org)
That weekend, Taste 2010 will
be held in the Kierland area. The Champions Dinner and Auction will be on April 10th followed on the 11th by The Taste. The Taste will feature some of the best food and wine in the Valley with food from Culinary Dropout, Sportsman’s, Zinburger and many more. Once again, high-end beer will make an appearance as tables will be set up featuring beers from all over the world, again with pairing advice offered by beer experts. This is always one of the top events in April featuring the best of food, wine and beer (www.taste2010.com).
The hits just keep on coming with the start of the Scottsdale Culinary Festival which has events all week and culminates on April 17th and 18th with the Great Arizona Picnic, which also features the Southwest Festival of Beers. This event is a relatively inexpensive opportunity to mingle
and sample great beers from local and national breweries, as well as some special imports. The event is presented by New Belgium Brewing and will feature beers from over thirty breweries including SKA, Ballast Point and Breckenridge. By decree of the Scottsdale City Council (okay, not really), the weather is always perfect, the band is always outstanding and the beer is always good. Whether you like to wander, or just sit and people watch, the Southwest Festival of Beers is a fun afternoon (www.scottsdaleculinaryfestival.org).
If you like your events a little smaller, on Friday night April 16th, Habitat for Humanity will host their annual Blueprints and Bluejeans fundraiser at a private house on Mummy Mountain. Always a hit at this event is the silent auction for a wheelbarrow

The month may be starting to wind down, but the fun certainly isn’t. The last weekend in April brings the McDowell Mountain Music Festival into town. In a new location this year at the Scottsdale and 101 shopping center, right next to The Compound Grill, the festival has added a third day of music. Acts include both national and local artists such as Ruthie Foster, Super Chikan, Black Carl and the ever popular Easton Ashe. Inside The Compound Grill will
be featuring an acoustic stage, as well as an after party on Friday and Saturday night with even more music, if you haven’t yet had your fi ll. This year look for great craft beer from New Belgium, Bell’s, Breckenridge, Flying Dog, Big Sky, Alaskan and, new to Arizona, Crispin Cider. (www.mmmf.net/)
Even as April is closing out its 30 day run, May is promising to keep the party going. May 1st brings the Made in Arizona Beer

Also on May 1st, the Valley of the Sun Active 20-30 Club will present their annual Viva Las Vegas event at City North in North Phoenix. If you have ever wondered what is great about living in Arizona, April sure explains it. While folks back east and in the Midwest are still worrying about a late snowfall, or repairing damage caused from the never-ending series of blizzards they got this past winter, we get to be outside enjoying fi ne food and excellent beer. Best of all, we get to do all this and help out some very worthwhile charities. What could be better than that?

The Best OThe Irish!
Into a Belfast pub comes Paddy Murphy, looking like he’d just been run over by a train. His arm is in a sling, his nose is broken, his face is cut and bruised and he’s walking with a limp.
“What happened to you?” asks Sean, the bartender.
“Jamie O’Conner and me had a fi ght,” says Paddy.
“O’Connor? That little runt?” says Sean, “He couldn’t do that to you, he must have had something in his hand.”
“That he did,” says Paddy, “a shovel is what he had, and a terrible lickin’ he gave me with it.”
“Well,” says Sean, “you should have defended yourself, didn’t you have something in your hands?”
“That I did,” said Paddy. “Mrs. O’Conner, and a thing of beauty she was, but useless in a fi ght!”

BY MARIA TOURTCHANINOVA
Ah yes April Fools day, the one time of year when you can finally try putting your co worker’s stapler into a Jell-O mold and not be attacked for it. I thank The Office for such great ideas. Sadly most people let this day pass them by yet, if you are the type of person who has perfected an evil plan by the 1st of April than please entertain me with your originality. [email protected].
Eddie V’s Edgewater Grill
When I think of the perfect “it’s my birthday take me to dinner damn it” restaurant, I develop a check sheet of 4 factors in my head that need to be satisfied; dim ambient atmosphere, stylish but cozy setting, live music, and oysters. You may not agree with the last factor, but that’s not the point. Eddie V’s was a place I’ve always heard of but never attended. So when my surprise birthday dinner turned out to be there I was excited. Best part of all is that all 4 of my “factors” were taken care of. First and foremost let me just say that the jazz/blues group Soul Impressions was phenomenal. Set up right in the corner of the lounge it started off with a woman singing soft lyrical melodies, towards the night her friend came on with a deep sultry voice that just sent chills through me and my oysters - which were fantastic by the way as were the other delicacies. Best part is they sang songs that got half the lounge up and dancing. It made me think of a stylish city bar that just happened to spring up far off from the city itself in the star-filled desert sky. Wow that last sentence almost made me want to write for Hallmark. Anyway people, point of the story is that Eddie V’s is a great place to spend a weekend night or begin one. Soul Impressions plays every weekend from 7pm to 11pm in the lounge. (480) 538-8468
Alice Cooper’s Town April Fools Day Concert
Alice Coopers Town is quoted as being the place “where jocks and rock meet.” Being there, you can easily see why. Sure the place is decorated with such memorabilia as Fleetwood Mac guitars and concert photos with waitresses in Cooper’s
signature eye makeup. But then there’s also the 16 big screen TVs showcasing sports of your choice. But why I’m really going has not so much to do with the cool industrial atmosphere or the Big Unit 22 inch hot dog. No no, it’s because the outside courtyard will be home to the April Fools Day concert featuring one of my favorite local bands Eleven Fifty Seven whose punk rock sound has made it from the airwaves of So Cal to AZ. Hosting the event is 80/20 Records, a local record label who happens to give 80% royalties back to the artists! So heads up to those looking for representation. As the host, 80/20 Records has picked a varying selection of rock bands that will mesh together perfectly producing one hell of a show. Doors open at 7pm with the stand up comedy of Brian Rhodes. At 8pm the concert starts with the Indie pop band Race You There followed by Some Never Sleep who are more on the experimental rock side. Eleven Fifty Seven blasts some punk rock through the speakers leading the way to The Dorsets who keep it more rock heavy. What Laura Says headlines the show showcasing their Indie rock music nationwide and now making it to Tempe! Expect to see some crazy and silly performances, after all it is April Fools day and the possibilities for on-stage pranks are endless. $10 at the door, $8 in advance.

Lady JasmineCigar DivaHow Do I Restore a Dry Cigar?
Patience is the name of the game when it comes to restoring cigars that have been dried out due to a lack of humidifi cation. Time and a slow re-hydrating process are the two essential elements required to restore the cigars to their original state. Start by placing the cigars in a sealed box for a few days to allow them to breathe and adjust to their environment. After a few days, introduce your humidifi er to the environment with a partially fi lled humidifi er. Let the cigars rest and re-adjust to the new environment. Repeat this process during the course of the next few weeks until the cigars are supple to the touch. And remember to be patient… you can’t rush greatness darling.

Why did this band get started? Pauly Polyester:After having the most successful marching band in Northwest Ne-braska, it became obvious to us that everything we touched turned into instant gold. We then relocated to Arizona and quickly became the best looking and most talented group at the Silver Springs trailer park in Apache Junction. After having achieved that lofty goal we set our sights even higher. We now are deter-mined to be the best show in Arizona and then the world. We can do the Disco Dance, Hair Rock Revival and Grind the Grunge like no other and we do all three in one night! What’s the story behind the name? Ahh, a good question for me (Gary Groovy). Ever since my recurring guest spots on the hit 70’s TV show Good Times (my character was Jerome), I have wanted to create a show that would highlight my favor-ite musical era’s, the 70’s 80’s and 90’s even though the 80’s and 90’s
have not even happened yet. I knew magic was yet to be discovered. I am Gary Groovy People. Are you any good? Pauly Polyester: No way! After talking to our huge base of fans and group-ies, we came to the conclusion that we are the best! What kind of band can rock a woman’s world during and after a show, then go clothes shop-ping and exchange make-up tips in the morning. To put it simply, we are the perfect men! Name some of your best cover tunes? I, Gary Groovy protest under protest that we in fact wrote every single song we perform! We just never put the words or music down on paper. Our bad! Still, we definitely play all of the tunes true to form as you hear them on the records or CD’s. We do an amazing cover of Air Supply’s All Out Of love. It makes the ladies go home with Deuce Damage. I am Gary Groovy People!
What do you think is most impor-tant when doing a cover tune, exact reproduction, or creative interpre-tation of a familiar tune? Pauly Polyester: We really don’t think about playing the song. It naturally sounds perfect every time. When Poly Polyester hits the Wah-Wah and wanks his “Stetsbar” Tremolo the crowds go wild! The most important factor is making sure we are looking super hot for all the 3D Rockshow babes, which requires regular facials, pedicures and for Dikki Dazzle, full body waxes. Who gets the most Groupies and why? If nobody gets any, do you have a plan to change this? Let Gary Groovy answer this one. Unfortunately our bass player has such a pungent odor that women cannot get close to the stage. We may change his name to Right Guard! I definitely would say that our singer (Freddy/Vince/Layne) has the best opportunity since he was doing 70’s asian porn while we were practicing. I think his nickname was Too Long Dong. The ladies remem-ber! This is Gary Groovy People. Tell us a secret about the band (just between us and 125,000 readers): Deuce Damage: There are so many secrets to tell, most people didn’t know that Hair Raid Guitarist Deuce Damage is a former German Super-model, having appeared nude in “Der Deutschmann” Magazine. That is a secret he has tried to conceal, but the truth is out now. Deuce has recently been taking guitar lessons and also completed his English as a second language class. He now has a strong command of the English language and we can understand him about 50% of the time now! As Deuce likes to say “I’z dont care if I’z cont play der guitarz fer shit, az long az I look good fer all der hot babes at der Hair Raid show, Yahhh!” Also Disco Dynamite Drummer, Gary Groovy is a former child star allegedly appearing in episode #23 of “Good Times” and episode #31 of the Brady Bunch. He has fond memories of “Good Times” but keeps mum about the behind the scenes activities of
the “Brady Bunch”. It is alleged that he was propositioned, but we are uncertain if it was Mr. Brady, Mrs. Brady or Sam the Butcher that did the propositioning. Dikki Dazzle Bassist of Disco Dyna-mite didn’t get that name from his mother, if you are following me. An underwater volcanic erup-tion spews boiling water into the cruise ship you’re playing on, and wouldn’t you know it, right in the middle of your set! Being upright, noble folk, what music would you play to calm everyone down as they boil to death? Gary Groovy knows about volcanos people! The ideal song would be Disco Inferno! Let’s let the people know they are about to BURN BABY BURN! This is Gary Groovy People. I am out! What is the official drink of the band? Deuce Damage: 3 Ami-gos Tequila Shots and Margaritas!!! Hands Down the Best way to get the ladies hotter than a flame broiled Jalapeno Pepper! Mas 3 Amigos Tequila, por favor!!!! How often do you perform live? Hello, Banger Valentino here! Do you know why they call me Banger? I am a terrible driver... The 3D Rock Show performs every Thursday night at The Library Bar on Mill Ave in Down-town Tempe! Act 1 is Disco Dynamite followed by Hair Raid and then The Grunge Puppies. Show starts around 9:00pm. Sometimes later if Chase Junk is trying to score some smack. We also travel the U.S. to perform at festivals and casinos in Nevada, Washington, California, Utah and Guam. What’s the funniest thing that ever happened while performing? Deuce Damage: While jamming some 80’s Cock Rock, Hair Raid bassist Kiki Shellshok, tripped over the edge of the drum riser and fell on his ass in front of hundreds, perhaps thousands of rabid, screaming fans. The best part, he is a huge hit on YouTube– just Search “Bass Player Falls and keeps on playing.”

Who is the craziest band member and why? Banger Valentino: The answer would be KiKi Shellshock. He must travel every Friday morning after our show from Phoenix to New York City to operate his failing Gyro Stand on 71st and 1st. Although the food is good it is still his body odor that keeps the customers away. Maybe it is failing because he sleeps until 2:00pm and does not have a working cell phone or computer? No seriously, he tapes his battery and antenna on his phone.
What do you do different that kicks ass over other cover bands? Deuce Damage: There are no other bands talented enough to do what we do. No Way! We have Disco Dynamite, Hair Raid and the Grunge Puppies all in one night! We have Mr. Gary Groovy on drums! The man licks his drum sticks and makes the ladies squeal! No other band in town can say that!
What advice would you give a startup cover band? Banger Valentino: Start an original band. It is VERY likely that you will
make the big time in no time just by writing the music that you think is good. Cover bands like us never amount to anything except regular, high paying shows in front of lots of people. If that makes you happy then maybe you should do it? But that would be stupid. Why profi t from other peoples hard work? Ha Ha. Why would anyone do that?
What’s the biggest misconception people have about musicians? Deuce Damage: Many people believe musicians are uneducated, unem-ployed and unmotivated. This is simply not true. The guys in the 3D Rockshow are all highly educated. Buzz Liteyear recently completed his Doctorate in Nuclear Physics and soon will have perfected the cure for Genital Warts. Gary Groovy, when not fi lming adult movies has a very rewarding career as a call center manager for American Express and we are very happy to announce that Kiki Shellshok has decided to wash his clothes this week! Now that is motivation! 480.830.3944

Give Us The Shirt Off Your Back…
Ok guys, I have a challenge for you. I want you to be that guy who brings back chivalry. Here’s why this works to your advantage. Open the door for a hot chick and you get to check her out, un-busted, as she is walking through the door. If you are opening the door for one of the aged in our community, hot chicks see you be a gentleman and you score here too. It’s such a win-win situation.
Now, for those of you who have been married for some time and have NO desire to see the backside of your wife as she walks through the door, for those of you who actually RUN ahead through the door just to avoid catching a glimpse of said backside, here is why you should do it anyway: She will respond to your gesture of unbidden kindness by transforming (Stay focused! I am not talking about the movie. And stop thinking about
Megan Fox already!) herself back to that siren you married. If you would suspend, for a moment, your palpable lack of belief and listen to the voice of reason you will see that I speak the truth. Here is why: If you treat your wife like she matters, that woman, who loves you, it will start to matter more to herself (because we all know that women are fragile creatures who live off of adoration and praise) and she will start to give a darn about the way she looks. She will return back to her former state of Hottie-ness and I promise once you get that woman feeling like she is hot she will also feel sexier and that translates into a more “loving” relationship for you. Ok, now that I have your attention again (don’t go all Tiger Woods on me)! I am telling you trade secrets! Be grateful and listen up!
At this point, the one guy who is still
reading this is asking himself, “what the hell does this have to do with fashion? I want to know if I can wear checks and stripes together.” The answer is simply this; it has ALWAYS been fashionable to be chivalrous. It will ALWAYS win you BIG points no matter if you are single, dating, engaged or married for years. Open the damn door already!
Pair this courtesy with low slung, plain front, trousers that have no break and a tailored shirt that shows off your shoulders and we are yours my friend.
You can thank me later.
Your ever helpful, and full of truths,
Feisty Fashionista, Lisa.
