Learning Links and Stuff to think about Income-Based Achievement Gap-We can make a difference. http://tinyurl.com/74bvk7c Competency Based Learning http://tinyurl.com/7fc6c8x Differentiation through Project Based Learning http://tinyurl.com/896qca5
Keeping Us on the Same Page Intent letters-Each employee should find an intent letter in
their mailbox on Tuesday. This letter needs to be completed
and returned to Candace by the end of the day on Thursday.
Later in the year, you will have the opportunity to share
information that you would like to be considered for next year’s
teaching assignment.
Chill Out Centers-We will begin using the Chill Out Centers this
week for students who need approximately 10 minutes to
reflect and regroup in order to return to the classroom. We will
discuss this again during Leadership Team meeting to make sure
there is understanding among teachers on the purpose and
guidelines for using the Chill Out Center.
PTO Fundraiser, Human Race, Magazine Requests-Please
work as a team to support the current fundraising efforts in our
school. One of CIP goals involves increased parental and
community involvement. With your promotion, we can continue
growing a school community in this area.
Readicide and Threads of Reading-Each book team should be
prepared to present at the March 13th Admin PD. Each
presentation should be approximately 20-30 minutes with time
allowed for questions and discussions. The purpose of the
presentation is to share key information from the book that you
read that will help your colleagues grow in the area of
literacy instruction. Remember-If they can’t read, they can’t
access all of your curriculum! All team members should
participate in the presentation and discussion of the books.
