COMENIUS 1. Who was Comenius? Jan Amos Comenius (1592-1670) Theologian and philosopher of Czech origin. He ran a school recommended to adapt the transmission of knowledge to each student. Innovative, he had the idea of correspondence school, scholarships as well as a common and public school without discrimination condition, nationality and gender. For him, continuing education is a necessity. 2.What are the objectives of Comenius? • To increase understanding among young people and educational staff of the diversity of European cultures and its value. • Helping young people acquire the skills and competencies that are critical base necessary for their personal development, their work future and for active European citizenship.

COMENIUS 1. Who was Comenius?

Innovative, he had the idea of correspondence school, scholarships as well as a common and public school without discrimination condition, nationality and gender. For him, continuing education is a necessity.

2.What are the objectives of Comenius?

• To increase understanding among young people and educational staff of the diversity of European cultures and its value. • Helping young people acquire the skills and competencies that are critical base necessary for their personal development, their work future and for active European citizenship.

3. For our school then?

The Comenius project allows our students to open up to the outside world and different cultures .The child learns to work on a joint project to different countries and has the opportunity to see how other countries are working on the project .Our project is the protection of the environment, we will implement various means to save our beautiful planet and educate future citizens for a better future .

4 . Specifically, what has already been established ?

Through - degree , our students have made a model of the sorting center Jurbise .A game - sorting has also been created .In - class Anne- Sophie , students made 2 comics around our mascot " Green Wood" (fr : green wood) ( see later in this paper ) .This character activates our kids to protect our school, our Earth from pollution .- In the middle and upper classes of the degree , students have made boxes on the theme of the 5 senses.These boxes should be suitable for our country and aim to introduce children to other scents, tastes .. typical of Belgium

When we left England, we had the opportunity to receive our turn and exploit them in class. At Christmas, we received and sent postcards to our partners. How wonderful to open up to the outside world!
