Overview of Comedist The Comedist site and app will be an ecosystem and online talent network for everyone in the comedy world that provides portfolio creation, casting call, dedicated web site pages, and other career building tools, while promoting events and selling tickets. It will also serve comedy fans who want to search for venues and catch shows. In a strategic partnership with Orpheus Media, Comedist will create and distribute original video content.

Home Page The homepage will give visitors an overview and access to our products and services. It shall have the following elements: 1. The Personal Blog / Web Site will provide: 1. An elegantly designed blog that can serve as a personal website 2. A biographical snapshot 3. Link to Comedist portfolio page 4. Blog entries 4. Contact / messaging tool

Find/Discover Talent Page

The Find/Discover Talent Page will provide: 1. Access to an easy to search database of comedists 2. Specific search criteria to find ideal results 3. Direct messaging

Casting Calls Page

The casting calls page will: 1. Alert comedists of film, television and theatrical opportunities. Those using the smartphone ap will get instant notification of postings matching their criteria. 2. Allow comedists to respond to postings with one click; casting agents will be sent links to the portfolio pages and a note saying: “I’d like to audition.”

Find Open Mics Page

The Find Open Mics page will: 1. Allow users to find open mics near them where they can perform and try out new material. This will be done via either a Foursquare API or other API, or by using a proprietary Comedist database. The search can be done by city or zip code. 2. Allow users to add open mic venues to a proprietary Comedist database.

Event Creation & Ticket Sales Page

The Event and Ticket Creation page will provide Comedists the tools to: 1. Create events 2. Promote events 3. Sell tickets

Find Events / Buy Tickets Page

The Find Events & Buy Tickets Page will provide a search tool to locate all kinds of events from stand-up comedy to opera concerts to technology seminars and buy tickets.

Business Listings

The searchable business listings page will provide: 1. Booking tool 2. Maximum exposure for comedy-related businesses and high SEO 3. Showcasing of products & services 4. Links to the business’s events or calendar of events created either on the Comedist event creation platform or on the business’s own website. 5. Location map

News

The News page will provide: 1. The latest news and information regarding the comedy industry (curated and published by ComedyBeat, a news blog) 2. The latest blog posts by comedists created on the Comedist blogging platform and selected by editors for publication in ComedyBeat.

Videos on Orpheus Network

The Videos Page will provide: 1. A searchable database of videos created by Comedist subscribers 2. Promoted or showcased videos free to visitors but the rest of database will be available only to Comedist and Orpheus subscribers

The Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page will provide: 1. Additional information about Comedist 2. Technical information about how to change passwords 3. How to contact customer service to report and resolve technical issues as well as provide suggestions for improvement (e.g. adding products and services or improving user experience) 4. Respond to questions frequently asked via email, social media comments, and other forms of communication
