FLY FISHING SCHOOL COURSE DESCRIPTION: Established in 1976, the Central Wisconsin Chapter - Trout Unlimited Annual Fly Fishing School is the first and longest running instructional program of its kind in our area. This school is of great value for those who want to make their first steps into the river as productive and educational as possible. Learn to fly fish or hone your existing skills through group sessions and individual guidance from our team of instructors made up of some of the most experienced fly fishers and fly tiers in Central Wisconsin…their combined fishing experience totals over 500 years!

We make it easy and fun to learn everything from various fly casting techniques, stream entomology, tackle selection, trout stream ethics, knot tying, fly pattern selection, to how to play, land, and safely release a trout.

This special learning opportunity includes interactive classroom, on-stream instruction and (unique to our school) a one-to-one guided fishing experience on the final morning.

“I loved the wealth of knowledge and presentation of

information by all the guides! Getting into the stream &

putting everything into practice was AWESOME!” T. DeGroot,
