“Message from your Church Council”

On June 24th the congregation will have selected a call committee of six members. Their scheduled training is to take place on July 11th.

It's heartening to see the excellent turnout for the first two weeks of supply pastors. Please keep this up!

Besides attending services, there are plenty of chores around the church that could use your attention. Shrubbery trimming, lawn mowing, and getting the Sunday School ready for the fall are a few that come to mind. Even a couple of hours after work one evening would make a huge difference in aggregate. Contact the church office (856.691.4278) if you can help.

The council will make every effort to keep you informed of

both the call progress and important news that happens during

the summer break of “Clippings”.

Once again Redeemer is entering into the process of seeking a Pastor. This time consuming process will continue until Fall at least. I guess the question is, “what does this have to do with me, that’s why we have a call committee”. The answer is that we as members will have to step up and get things done. This involves “VOLUNTEERING”. Why don’t people volunteer? Here are some of the reasons that may be the cause. Fear of doing something wrong. Do I have the talent or ability to do what was asked of me? Will people accept me? Many more reasons could be given. Remember GOD is on your side and will support you. Time or lack of it. There is so much to be done I have no free time. This area could involve being a Greeter on Sunday morning, writing notes to shut-ins, making phone calls or even including those in need in your daily prayer. Thanks. Yes we all like to be thanked for what we do, but sometime we are not thanked and decide, “well that’s it for me. I’ll not do that again”. While we all like to be thanked for what we do, if we remember we do these things not for “thanks” but for the love of God and the Church. No one said thanks to Jesus for what He did for us. Ability. “I don’t know anything about what you asked me to do”. We worry that we will make a mistake, so what! We all make mistakes and remember our God is a Forgiving God. How long does it take to learn how to cut grass, help serve Strawberries, fold bulletins, greet folks at church on Sunday or serve on a committee? Try it you might like it. The Church needs us to step forward and say “here I am Lord, I will go if You lead me”. Put your trust in God and say “YES, count me in”.

Phillies Trip 2017 It was muggy Saturday afternoon as 15 diehard Phillies fans from Redeemer traveled to Citizens Bank Park to watch our Phillies play the Arizona diamondbacks. We were hoping their recent string of bad luck would not carry over.. We got delayed 50

minutes due to a heavy rain shower. That event allowed us all to “hang out” and chat with other Phillies fans. The Phillies didn’t get many hits, and lost 5-1. We were happy to get back to Vineland after a long day. Fun and fellowship were the best parts of our trip.

Join us next year!

Angelina won the drawing for the doll house that was held at the Strawberry Festival. She was so excited.

Adopt-A-Road June 2017 On Saturday morning, June 11th, a small but mighty group from our Congregation met at our new location (Spring Rd & Maple Ave.) to remove litter, trash, and miscellaneous junk from Spring Rd. With expected temperatures reaching 90 degrees, our members started earlier than usual (8am instead of our regular 9am). We collected 6 big bags of rubbish in the 1 mile stretch of road that Redeemer is now responsible for maintaining. We feel this activity is a positive action that makes Vineland a better place to live. If you would like to join us, it’s easy work, a lot of fun and fellowship, our next pick up date is September 16th, scheduled for 9 am
