Each week the members come together to practise for concerts, contests, church services and numerous other engagements. The Templemore Band Sun 23 July The Templemore Band was formed in 1949 and has successfully competed at local, European and World Championship levels. Comber Silver Band Sun 30 July Comber Silver Band aims to give back to the community in the area and are involved annually in Christmas celebrations and Remembrance Day services. Symington Memorial Silver Band Sun 6 August Symington Memorial Silver Band traces its origins back to 1898. In 1998 the band celebrated its centenary and today it’s still going strong, a memorial to Robert Symington its founder. Garvey Silver Band Sun 13 August Garvey Silver Band plays an extensive modern repertoire of light and popular music (both classical and original brass) as well as film themes, marches and hymn tunes with something for all tastes. 1st Old Boys Youth Band Sun 20 August The 1st Old Boys Youth Band consists of 35 young people following the tradition of the first Old Boys Association Silver Band which was formed in Belfast in 1946. The band performs a wide range of musical genre. Circus-Circus Sat 1 July Roll up roll up! Come and join us for a spectacular circus extravaganza! With lots of fun and entertainment for all the family! Circus skills workshops, shows and plenty of acts to meet and greet.

Fairytale Ball Sat 8 July Come enter the enchanting world of fairy tales and let the storyteller transport you to the ‘Fairytale Ball’. Make your own crown and learn how to curtsey and bow. Dance the afternoon away to your favourite music and have your photograph taken with your favourite character.

Heroes and Princesses Sat 15 July The whole team will be out in full force in Moat Park including: The Turtles, Spiderman, Batman, Ironman, Captain America, Queen Elsa and Princess Anna. They will be hosting an amazing Hero Academy and thrilling the crowds with performances from Queen Elsa and Princess Anna! Lots more fun for the family to enjoy around the Park.

Fur and Flora Sat 22 July Plant a � ower and you can take one home, you can make a � ower or butter� y in our craft workshop and get your face painted too! Visit the petting farm and watch a spectacular display by the ‘Flying Falcons’. If you enter the Dog Agility Demonstration or Fun Dog Show, you will receive free poo bags.

Sports Festival Sat 29 July Activities include Kiddies Sports themed disco (music and games),Boot Camp Challenge Assault Course with dual climbing walls and dual slide, Touch Down bungee game, in� atable mini golf challenge and BMX demonstration and Jump Jiggle and Jive.

Jack and the Beanstalk Sat 5 AugustJoin Mr Hullabaloo for an amazing fantasy adventure that brings the classic story of Jack and the Beanstalk to life! Featuring an outstanding cast of live performers, puppetry, dazzling sets and lavish costumes, children of all ages can join in the excitement as our spectacular pantomime story unfolds. After the show there will also be an opportunity to meet and greet the cast of colourful characters who will be only to happy to pose for pictures. Come meet Mr Hullabaloo, Jingles the Jester and all of their storybook friends when our ‘GIANT’ of a tale Jack and the Beanstalk comes to your local park this summer!

Mini Mela Sat 12 AugustA celebration of world cultures through music, visual arts and dance. The Park will be � lled with the colours and sounds of faraway places featuring live music and dance performers in authentic colourful costumes. Make yourself a global craft from India, China, Poland or Colombia and sample the taste of exotic foods.

Teddy Bears Picnic Sat 19 AugustCome along with your favourite teddy and join in the story told by Mr Hullabaloo and his famous puppets ‘Goldilocks and the Three Bears’. Bring a picnic, but be careful of a greedy bear stealing your snacks. Dance with your favourite character at the kiddies disco. . There will be bouncy castles, teddy bear slide and an opportunity to make your own teddy bear ears and have your face painted too.

Ulster Scots Agency Juvenile Pipe Band Sun 2 July This Band was formed in late 2012 from children taught as part of the Ulster-Scots Agency programme. The ethos of this band is to give young people the opportunity to perform with other young pipers and drummers while more experienced players encourage and advise.

Gilnahirk Pipe Band Sun 9 July The founder Gilnahirk Pipe Band was Norman F. Harper, the son of John C.Harper, who was senior elder of Gilnahirk Presbyterian Church. Over the years, pipers and drummers were frequently present at church events.
