Pay Gap in Switzerland



Laws

Gender equality in the Swiss Constitution (1981)Men and women have equal rights. The law shall ensure their equality, both in law and in practice, most particularly in the family, in education, and in the workplace.Men and women have the right to equal pay for work of equal value.

Problems

The Gender Equality Act doesn’t have a control system

The pay gap increased by 0.5 points 0,007% of the employers (= 2,8% of employees)

can prove a gender-fair pay politics 84% of defendants lose all or part of their cases

because judges and lawyer don’t know the Gender Equality Act.
