6942S.WebsterWy.Littleton,CO 80128(303) 971-0690In the interestof time,DEIDELwas interviewed by telephone at his residence onMay 21,1999about9:30AM.DEIDELleft ColumbineHighSchoolafterhis4dl hourclasson April 20, 1999to go to lunchwith some friends. Theywentoffcampusto "TortillaWraps", andweregone duringthe timethat theshooting started.DEIDELsaid the basis for this lead comesfroman incident whichhappened inhis 3M hour classon about the 3'd day afterclasses resumed, at Chatfield HighSchool. DEIDELhadbeen away ona baseballtrip, so eventhough it was thethirddsy of classes, it washis first day backto school. He and several other studentswere standingin class, talkingaboutEricHARRISand DylanKLEBOLD, and the consensuswas thatHARRlS was the controller; KLEBOLD was thefollower. At that timeBrian SARGENT,who is also in that class, interjected a comment,"Yeah,Dylan[KLEBDLD] was goingto givehimself up", andwhenDEIDELor anothermemberof his groupasked SARGENThowhe knew that, SARGENT said,"That was just a thought thatsome of ushad".This is similar to a rumor thatwas relatedtomeby anotherstudentas being veryprevalentamongthe studentsat this time, in whichHARRIS is rumoredto have shotKLEBOLD becauseKLEBOLDdidn't want to continuewith the incident.
