The farm will feature recirculating farms which save water, eliminate the need for pesticides, cause no nutrient run-off, and recycle fish waste in order to grow organic produce. Though recirculating farming has been developing in the U.S. for more than 30 years, it is not a well-recognized option in the U.S. for food production. providing information about the benefits of recirculating farms to the general public, media, and people interested in participating in the industry is critical to developing a movement toward more community oriented recirculating farming. Since its inception, NOFFN has focused on working with historically underserved neighborhoods that have significantly limited fresh food access. The NOFFN will give residents the opportunity have individual garden plots. Through public education, training, and assistance in residents shall become community leaders in advancing food security.
