Request for Approval for an Activity (Individual)
o If you find an activity that will strengthen your interpreting and/or
translating skills, submit the above form for review.

o If you are providing an activity that will strengthen your interpreting
and/or translating skills, submit the above form for review.
Individual or Group Study
o If you find a book, documentary, form a study group, or other types of study,
submit the above form for review.

Compliance Forms
2016-2018 Compliance Form
o If you are a Colorado-certified interpreter, you are required to submit
documentation of your compliance with Chief Justice Directive 05-05 each
even-numbered year by January 31st. You will use the above form for
submission as well as copies of your certificates from courses.
2016 LOTS Compliance Form
o If you are not a Colorado certified court interpreter, and interpreter for a
language other than Spanish, you submit documentation yearly regarding
your efforts toward continuing education. Forms must be submitted by June
for the previous year for certificate.

There are many different classes offered for translators. The class
most applicable for court interpreters/translators is Word avanzado para traductores. This
class is jam-packed with information. The time difference between Barcelona and Colorado
makes attendance at online seminars somewhat tricky. These classes are expensive, but from
time to time special discounts are offered.
