Any mains device used as voltage source must meetcurrent safety regulations and be appropriate for theoperational a pplica tion.

The ca mera mod ule is c onnec ted to the ma ins de vice a nd the mo-nitor (or TV device) via 3 cables:

The cables are colored as follows:

Red: + 12V (pos . pow er supply)

Blue: GROUND (neg. power supply and ground for video signal)

Yellow: VIDEO (video signal)

Co nnect the p os itive pole of the videoinput of your TV device (or monitor) tothe yellow connecting cable of the ca-mera mo dule.

Connect the negative pole of the vi-de o input o f yo ur TV device (or mo ni-tor) to the blue connecting cable of

the ca mera module.

Connect the negative pole of the vol-tage source to the blue connectingca ble of the ca mera module.

Co nnect the po sitive pole of the volta -ge source to the red connecting c a ble

of the camera module.

Operation

When the video input and po we r supply a re c onnected , your ca me-

ra is ready for operation.

S witch the powe r supply on.

S w itc h on your TV device (ormonitor) and select the input towhich the camera is connected(e.g. AV input on the TV).

The picture s upplied by the c a -mera appea rs on-sc reen.

Servicing and disposal of the device

Service

Make sure to check the technical safety of the color camera modu-le and the current source connected at regular intervals, for exam-

ple, that the connecting c ab le a nd housing a re not da mag ed.

If there are reasons for supposing that risk-free operation is no lon-ger possible, the camera or mains device is to be taken out of ope-ration and safetied against accidental operation. Make sure that the

ma ins plug is d isc onnecte d from the ma ins s oc ket!

What to do in case of malfunction

In buying the color camera module, you have acquired a state-of-

the-art product which is operationally safe. Even so, faults may

occur.This se ction tells you how to d ea l ea sily w ith so me o f these pos si-ble faults:

Problem Solution

No picture Is the polarity of the operat ing voltage of thecamera module correct?

Is the TV device/monitor sw itc hed on a ndoperational?

Is the c orrec t AV input s elec ted on the TV de viceor monitor?

Is the pow er supply to the c a mera mo dule a filte-

red, regulated DC voltage? If not, this can result inmalfunctions or complete breakdown of the came-ra mod ule.

Is the c amera mo dule c onnected to the pow ersupply and the TV device in the ma nner previous lydescribed in the section Connection of theseoperating instructions?

Other repairs to those described above must be

carried out by an authorized trained specialist.

has been stored long-term under adverse conditions

Malfunction of power packs can produce voltages in excess of50 VDC, w hich a re a haza rd if the output voltag e rating o f the po-wer pack is lower.

Ahead of cleaning or servicing your camera or the power packconnected, carefully read the following remarks about safety:

When opening panels or removing parts, live compo-

nents may be exposed.

Ahead of any adjustment or maintenance, the devicemust be disconnected from all voltage sources.

Capacitors in the device may still be charged, even

when the unit has been disconnected from all power

sources.

Never replace damaged power pack connecting cables

yourself. If damaged, disconnect the cables from the

mains and taken them to a specialist repair workshop.

Repairs should only be carried out by trained specia-

lists familiar with the risks and relevant regulations.

Disposal

If unusable, the device must be disposed of in accordance with

current leg a l reg ula tions .

Bevor Sie die Kamera oder ein angeschlossenes Netzteil reini-gen oder warten beachten Sie unbedingt folgende Sicherheits-hinweise:

Nach dem Anschu von Videoausgang und Stromversorgung istdie Kamera einsa tzbereit.

Schalten sie die Stromversor-gung ein.

Schalten Sie Ihr Fernsehgertoder den Monitor ein undwhlen Sie den Eingang an, andem die Kamera angeschlos-sen ist (z.B. AV-Eingang am

Fernsehgert).Das Bild der Kamera erscheinta uf dem B ilds chirm.

Sollte wider Erwarten auf demBildschirm kein Bild erscheinenoder sonst eine Fehlfunktion zuerkennen sein, so schalten Siesofort die Betriebsspannunga b , da s TV-Ger t/Monitor ausund prfen noch einmal ent-

deze beslist voldoen aan de geldende veiligheidseisenen g es chikt zijn voo r dit do el.

Autoladers en speelgoedtrafos zijn hierbij als span-ningsbron niet geschikt en leiden tot beschadiging van

de componenten resp. tot het niet functioneren van demodule.

De cameramodule wordt via 3 snoeren verbonden met de netvoe-ding en de monitor/Tv-toes tel:

Bij foutieve werking kunnen netvoedingen spanningen van meerdan 50 VDC afgeven, waarvan gevaar kan uitgaan, ook als de uit-gangsspanning van de netvoeding lager ligt.

Voor u de camera of een aangesloten netvoeding schoonmaaktof onderhoud daaraan pleegt, dient u zich beslist te houden

aan de volgende bepalingen betreffende de veiligheid:

Als er, tegen de verwachting in,geen beeld op het scherm ver-schijnt, of er valt een andereonjuiste functie waar te nemen,moet u direct de voedings-
