The lost colony – Directions

1. The purpose of this activity is to make hypotheses about what happened to the lost colony of Roanoke.

2. Please get into groups of 3 or 4

3. Have one person from the group come and grab the data sheets

4. As a group you need to read through all of the given documents

1. You should be highlighting and adding notes

5. Once you have read through the documents please send one person to come and grab the inquiry sheet

6. As a group you must document and write as many hypotheses as you can citing specific evidence to back up your claims… as well as any discrediting evidence, if any.

7. Be prepared to share your findings with the class.
