Group Project

Each group will have four members. Two will create a brochure and two will create the travel poster. Each person will be responsible for one essential area for the brochure.

Each member of the group must choose an area of focus:

1.Government in the new colony – will they have rights?

2.Religion in the new colony – which religions are welcome?

3.Economy-how will they make a living?

4.Geography/Climate – harsh or mild?

Slogan for Travel Brochure:

What captures the spirit of your colony in just a few words?

This must be on your poster.

For example, Riverside County in California refers to itself as

“A Bit of Paradise by the Sea”

Create a jingle to attract interest in your colony

Example: “give me a break, give me a break, break me off a piece of that kit-kat bar.”

Or “Sleep Country, USA”

To show good faith you should have a small token for each visitor to your booth. Perhaps the plump carrots you can grow, or a picture of a beautiful new flower, a bit of bread made from colony wheat, or a coupon good for one free slave and some land.
