A centre of excellence within a supply chain of excellence for avocados.

The facility has developed as a technical and commercial centre of excellence specialising in the handling, conditioning and packing of avocados.

Greencell has invested and developed SMART in-conjunction with AWETA pioneering Impact, and Accoustic technology.

Adequate capacity at present however additional grading capacity will be necessary to accommodate growth.

Greencell are ISO14001, This international standard helps Greencell reduce their environmental impact as well as grow our business.Greencell are members of LEAF (Linking Environment And Farming) is the leading organisation promoting sustainable agriculture, food and farming.Greencell are BRC accredited Grade A. The BRC Food Safety Standard is a leading global brand recognised by thousands of customers worldwide.Greencell is a Fair Trade Supplier. Fairtrade is about better prices, decent working conditions and fair terms of trade for farmers and workers.

Greencell are sedex registered, and are 3rd party ethically audit every two years.

Greencell are M&S Field to fork accredited for avocados.

Process flow from field to customer

1.Harvesting the Avocados

2. Sorting & Grading of Avocados at Westsole Packhouse.

3. Loading the Avocado pallets onto the lorry, for transportation to the port

4. Transportation The containers are offloaded at Port of Tilbury .And are trucked up to Greencell (Spalding)

5.Avocados arrive by Truck to Greencell ( UK)

6. Avocados offloaded and stored in temperature controlled rooms

7.Avocados are stored in Greencells Bespoke ripening system chambers

8. Avocados are taken from the ripening rooms to the pack house, avocados are then sorted and graded into customers own packaging.

9. Avocados packed awaiting transportation to customers depots.
