COLLEGE/TEENS
PURSUIT meets upstairs with Brett Hower. Pursuit is the
revamped, refocused college ministry at the Belpre Church.
As the name suggests, this college ministry will be centered
on pursuing a relationship God and those around us in
love, just as God pursued us in love through Jesus Christ.
Pursuit is a dynamic ministry, heavily featuring prayer,
scripture, worship, discussion, and fellowship. This is
Pursuit: Of God. Of Love. Of Life.
PURSUIT will not be meeting this evening. See Brett for plans
for next Sunday. Study will resume at the home of Jeff and
Tonnie Stevenson on Sunday, November 10 at 6:00 p.m.
Come and join us at the building on Wednesday evenings at
7:00 p.m.
TEENS will not meet this evening due to Trunk or Treat.
MINISTRY MEETINGS
Connections Ministry will not meet today as was previously
scheduled.
Young At Heart -
The Young at Heart Christmas lights trip scheduled for Dec. 5
will include a stop by Cabela's. The cost for the trip is $49.00
per person. It also includes shopping for the ladies as well.
This is a good time to get some of that Christmas shopping
done. The sign up sheet is on the bulletin board outside
Travis's office. We must have 30 going to make the trip.
Courage to Change -
No one denies that temptations are truly tempting! The
promise of immediate gratification will always be dangerous
as long as you live on earth. How do you stop falling prey to
the things that lure you into sin? You know Jesus has already
broken the power of sin over you, but why is it still so
attractive to you? How do you stop wanting the things that
harm you? Focus on God and allow Him to cleanse you with
His words. Over time you will find that your desire to do
wrong will certainly diminish.
Love in Action - Community day was rescheduled due to rain to Nov. 2nd. If
you were signed up to serve and cannot make it on this day,
or if you had not signed up and can now serve, please let us
know so we can plan accordingly.
We have been asked again to provide 150 boxes of pancake
mix and 150 bottles of syrup for the BAM baskets over the
holidays. If you can help in this endeavor, please leave the
supplies by the pantry doors.
How large is our God? We should never underestimate the
scope of our influence when we are praying and obedient to
God. By following HIM and being empowered by HIM we can
be the "light of the world." This is what Christ asks of us.
