Travel arrangements to college are the responsibility of your school. Please speak with your guidance teacher to check your school’s travel arrangements.
TRAVEL INFORMATION
All of our campuses have catering facilities available to you. If you are entitled to free meals at school then this can be arranged for you at college too. Your school will let us know if you are eligible so there is no need for you to do anything. We operate a voucher scheme and this will be explained at your induction when you first come to college.
CATERING
At Edinburgh College we ask all students to behave in a responsible, considerate way, respecting fellow students, staff and college property. While studying at college you will be expected to follow a code of conduct and this will be explained at your course induction.
CODE OF CONDUCT
We will report your attendance back to your school on a weekly basis, so it is important that you attend college and classes when you are expected to. If you do not turn up at college and we are not aware of any reason why you would be absent, we will telephone your school to let them know. Always remember to ask your parent or guardian to explain any absences either to school or college. Whenever you are on holiday from school, you will not be required to attend college.
ATTENDANCE
If your course has a requirement for personal protective equipment (PPE) then this will be supplied by the college and paid for by your school. You will be asked for your sizes at interview, so please check before you attend so that you can give us accurate information. Typical information would be your top, trouser and shoe sizes. The kit will be ready for you when you come in for your first day at college.
If you get additional support at school and think you might require support during your college studies with assessments, personal circumstances or any attendance problems, please inform a member of our schools team by emailing [email protected] who will liaise with our student support team.
