An Urban Tissue of Endurance: collective operations in the looming darkness

Compression: neither the powerful or the weak; neither one thing or another, but a withdrawal from distinction.

The generic is a possibility in every imaginable form. It is never in a direct relationship with anything else. It declines both affinity and distinction. As such it cannot affix itself to particular urban forms through direct causality, reciprocity and exchange. Irreducible to any particular instrumentality.

It always shows up in “strange” ways, turns the expected into something recognizable but always “off”, weird.
