Mosney Mill is a beautiful range of kitchen, homeware, stationery and home fragrances taken from the illustrations of Lancashire based artist Emma Sutton. Emma’s drawings are inspired by her beautiful home at Mosney. Working in her garden studio the hedgerows are teaming with robins, blue tits and an assortment of finches, whilst the eleven acres of land are home to roe deer, pheasants, ducks, the odd rabbit, not forgetting the family bunny Dobby and Atticus and Tobelerone the Mosney cats. When warmer days are approaching Emma’s family plant a one-acre wildflower meadow where bees feast upon the pollinating plants providing opportunities for Emma’s observational bee and flower drawings reflected in a number of her ranges Inspired by the wildlife and from the gorgeous scenery she is immersed in a range of whimsical animals began to emerge, each with a story and a special place in the Mosney Mill range. Emma is passionate about supporting UK manufacturing, working closely with her textile, ceramic and stationery producers ensuring that exquisite design and supreme quality are her main focus.

Whilst the family were renovating the Mosney land they discovered that the ground had previously been the site of Mosney Print Works.

In the late eighteenth century Mosney Print Works was responsible for great innovations in the printing of Lancashire calico cloth enabling printing in six colours to be introduced. This invention, which it has been argued by historians was as important for the finishing of fabrics as Arkwright’s Water Mule was to the manufacture of the base cloth, paved the way towards modern day fabric printing. Emma believes that this was a sign that she should bring print back to Mosney.
