Collection
Waste collection is the collection and transport of waste to the place of treatment or discharge by municipal services or similar institutions, or by public or private corporations, specialized enterprises or general government. Collection of municipal waste may be selective, that is to say, carried out for a specific type of product, or undifferentiated, in other words, covering all kinds of waste at the same time.

In Dhaka City:
There is no specified Process is followed.
DCC is responsible for managing waste.
The household, commercial and industrial wastes are deposited from the source to the collection bins (concrete/C.I. sheet) located on the streets.
In some areas demountable containers are used for onsite storage of municipal solid waste.
In Some Areas like Dhanmondi, Mohammadpur, Bananai, Gulsan, Mirpur “House to House” collection system is practiced. This is carried by Some Communities. They provide this facility in exchange of a little amount by House-Holders.
First waste is collected from House in small Bin, then carried it with small Van to Big Compactor Vehicle.
Roadside waste is collected by DCC in small van
Waste from Household and others are Carried to Big Compactor Vehicle.
Hospital waste is collected in Separated Big van
Transfer A transfer station is a building or processing site for the temporary
deposition of waste. Transfer stations are often used as places where local waste collection vehicles will deposit their waste cargo prior to loading into larger vehicles. These larger vehicles will transport the waste to the end point of disposal in an incinerator, landfill, or hazardous waste facility, or for recycling
