CCCOnline is unlike any multi-campus online consortium in the nation

CCCOnline is not a degree-granting institution in and of itself

Student Service for online courses (i.e., geo., time, access, etc.)

Serves as an aggregate for low-enrollment classes across CCCS; quicker degree

and certificate completion method

CCCOnline provides a centrally supported operation for:

overseeing issues with Bb Vista and D2L, servers, networks, any other LMS support

consortial faculty recruitment, pay and evaluation

faculty training and professional development

instructional course design, development, and quality control

record keeping and student services

oversight of helpdesk and call center functions

tutoring and bookstore services

future… career services WCET 2009, Denver

A student orientation, which can be customized for each campus

A set of Course Quality Guidelines

The process for course migration

Technical troubleshooting to find common problems and solutions

Management of student data loads from the Student Information System to Blackboard Vista

The Learning Technology Council has brought a new level of consistency

and collaboration among college distance learning programs. This:

› benefiting students taking courses from any CCCS college or CCCOnline

› providing a consistent learning experience and higher level of service

Managed and implemented RFP for helpdesk solution - all CCCS colleges

Streamlined business operations at all colleges

Prioritized system level budget expenditures for online learning (Bb Vista, Respondus, Elluminate, Help Desk)

Developed faculty survey in cooperation with SFAC; gather faculty input on evaluation of alternative LMS’ for the system
