CONFERENCE BACKGROUND CONFERENCE THEMEAn honest exercise and a concerted effort on interdisciplinary integration for legal enrichment was made in organizing the first International Multidisciplinary Law Conference in October 2015 and the second in 2016 wherein both the conferences turned out to be a tremendous success. Multidisciplinary practices have proved that in the Legal field they can provide the legal fraternity and scholars from other disciplines with an opportunity to relate law to various other fields in the creation of new ideas and analytical explanations and are more innovative in providing legal solutions.

Motivated and inspired by the success of the two earlier conferences, the Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad is making an attempt in organizing a National Multidisciplinary Law Conference, titled COHERENCE - Forming a unified whole…at Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad on 14t h & 15t h March 2020.

CONCEPT NOTEMan has travelled a long way in his effort to make advances in a motley of fields. All the achievements that man has to his credit are due to his qualities of curiosity and inquisitiveness. Man is the most intelligent being on this earth as he is endowed with a well developed brain. With the help of his innovative character and inquisitive bent of mind, man has unearthed many mysteries and secrets of the earth. As a consequence, the modern society that we have today is replete with technological advancements and fabulous inventions. However, on the academic front, though our progress has been good, there is still so much to achieve. While scientific developments and inventions remain, new concepts such as globalization, liberalization and privatization have come into vogue and also in recent times, information technology has posed many problems and challenges to the society. One eminent jurist [Grant Gilmore] has stated that “law is the reflection of the society” explaining that the conditions prevailing in a society at a certain point of time are reflected in the law made at that point of time. As the conditions in the society change from time to time, there is a need to change the law also, taking into consideration the various disciplines with which law is connected. Since the subject matter of the disciplines are so varied, it is inevitable that a solution to the challenges posed by these disciplines cannot be reached at with the help of research in just one discipline. It requires a concerted effort on the part of the researcher to conduct research keeping in mind all the other disciplines. Although, the subject matter may basically belong to one discipline but sometimes it transgresses into the ambit of other disciplines too. This convergence of subject matter leads to a complex situation as these problems and challenges demand assistance, co-operation and involvement of all the other disciplines.

ABOUT SYMBIOSIS LAW SCHOOL, HYDERABAD (SLSH)SLSH is a constituent of Symbiosis International University, Pune, India. Founded in 1971, by Dr. S. B. Mujumdar, Founder-Chancellor of Symbiosis International University, Pune. SLSH commenced its operations in 2014 by offering two integrated programs in Law namely B.A. LLB and B.B.A. LLB with contemporary multidisciplinary curriculum. The institute has recruited faculty members from a range of disciplines such as Law, Business management, Financial Accounting, Political Science, Economics, History and English.

1. All the papers shall be reviewed by a team of experts andthe notification of acceptance of the full paper shall bewithin 10 days after the last date. The completed papershould be sent to coherence@slsh.edu.in

2. The first page should mention the title, an abstract of notmore than 300 words and at least 3 key words should bementioned.

The second page should have title of the paper, Author(s)Profile with contact details.The paper contributions shall not be more than 5000 wordsinclusive of tables and, graphs, diagrams, photographs,References, and bibliography.

5. The headings should be in 14 font size, Times New Roman,text in 12 font size and foot notes in 11 font size.

6. The diagrams and tables should have appropriate titles andshould indicate sources if extracted.

7. The papers shall be checked for plagiarism and papers withevidence of plagiarism shall be disqualified from beingpresented in the conference.

8. Certificate of participation / presentation shall be given tothe candidates who are physically present. In-absentiapapers shall not be considered for presentation.

9. Both the main author and the co-author should register inorder to present their paper at the conference.

Keeping in view the above objectives, "Multidisciplinary Legal Research: Symbiotic Analysis and Synthesis" is designed as the theme for the National Multidisciplinary Law Conference, titled, COHERENCE- Forming a unified whole ... The goal of this conference is to encourage research in the legal field with a multidisciplinary perspective and to bring out the synergy resulting from a collaboration between the various disciplines and discipline of law. The bottom line of this year's conference is synthesis and to a lesser extent analysis.

Accommodation is chargeable. Twin sharing rooms cost (1500.00) INR per day per person. Accommodation charges may be payable after arriving at the Conference venue. This is not part of the Registration fees.
