Cogeneration reducing CO 2 emissions cogeneration (Combined Heat and Power or CHP) is one of the lowest risk and most far reaching in near term impact. Eleven per cent of Europe’s electricity today is produced using cogeneration and an estimated additional 120 GWe of European cogeneration potential remains to be exploited.
