Role of Publicsector

A public sector enterprise is an enterprisewhere minimum fifty-one percent or more

share is held by the Government.PSEs are more inclined towards social

benefits rather than making profits.

Inclusive and substantive growth are two

main priority of the PSEs.

CSR activities are generally carried more bythe PSEs in comparison with the privatesector.

Codes of Conduct A code is set of rules or principles of behaviour.

Codes of Conduct are the governing rules formed bythe corporate organisations to gain the confidence and

support of the public. Code has been prepared as a working guide and not as a

technical legal document.

General guide to acceptable and appropriate behavior atthe company and employees are expected to comply with

its contents. Absence of a specific guideline, practice or instruction

covering a particular situation does not relieve anemployee from exercising the highest ethical standardsapplicable .
